I wouldn't blame the approach as they outplayed Lyon at times, but silly individual mistakes cost Bordeaux.

They're not out of it yet though, imo they still have a fair chance despite the two goal difference.

The Bordeaux i watched against Olympiacos was an ultra defensive team, playing a strict 4-5-1,a team which looked to earn a free kick outside the box rather than score directly. They could control the ball for the most time but wouldn't do much with it,their best chances to score were from dead balls.

I am surprised that Alen who is constantly blaming italian coaches for their conservative approach to the game voted for Blanc.

We're planning another trip to England after Easter for Benitez.
Bettega says a few weeks ago he already has in his mind the type of Juventus he wants for next season so if he was in France to see Blanc how come hes doing a complete u-turn and going for Benitez?

Both of these coaches play different brands of football so does our board still not know how what they want?

Yet he went almost gung ho against Lyon. Blanc is a flexible coach, it depends on the opposition the way he sets his team up to play.

1. Don't believe everything you read

2. There is a difference between what we want and what we will get. They should have several back up plans imo.

I don't but I believe that Bettega was quoted as saying that.

I agree on the back ups but if Bettega has a clear idea of how we shall play then all our back ups should be of similar characteristics.

No point buying a Diego type player only to hire a Ranieri type coach who wont adjust his tactics and ends up playing him on the wing.
