I know that there are some in this forum who don't rate Prandelli for one reason or another but i really believe that this guy will create a great team for us if given some time.

His team plays "exactly" the kind of football that many here been craving for. the flawless, fast game plus his team is balanced (solid defensively and pretty creative in the attack).

Prandelli: 'I feel like I was fired'

Cesare Prandelli’s split from Fiorentina seems inevitable. “Diego Della Valle’s words felt like being fired. I’m very upset.”

Yesterday the President urged his Coach to sign a piece of paper in front of the fans confirming he believed in the club’s project and would stay on.

“I am a little embarrassed, but will try to be myself,” began Prandelli in today’s emotional Press conference.

“I am very upset and very bitter at Diego’s interview, but that has not damaged the respect I have towards the club owners.

“These words felt like being fired. I would like to know if there really is the intention to keep going together or if it was just a strong way of provoking a reaction.

“I have not made contact with anyone and haven’t signed for any other club. I am the Coach of Fiorentina. I put passion into my work and will always maintain the dream of winning something here.”

Prandelli has been heavily linked with the Juventus and Italy benches for next season, while Fiorentina may not qualify for Europe.

The tactician launched a stinging attack on Della Valle, who continues to maintain that the construction of a new ‘Cittadella’ training complex can resolve their financial concerns.

“Two years ago he told me that with the Cittadella we could dream. I’ll be honest, I don’t believe in this Cittadella. It took five years just to get the training ground pitch sorted.

“I made my choice when I renewed my contract with Fiorentina. Without the Cittadella we cannot dream, but I live on dreams. If the Cittadella does exist then I will not take other offers into consideration, otherwise I am a professional and am ready to listen.

“If it’s an issue of staying for one more year and then declaring an end to that dream, then we should be clear and say the truth,” continued Prandelli.

“If there is the desire to stay together and keep cultivating this dream, albeit postponing it for a few years, then I am ready to renew for life. But we need to be clear.”

At least he managed to beat an English team in Europe over two games. Something that we haven't managed in far too long.

Prandelli is a good option, with what is available/likely to be interested. I think things have just gone stale for him at Fiorentina and he needs a change.

Lets not look at things we couldn't do this season, there are just way too many of them. Depressing stuff...

Agreed, but I just can't think why none of the coaches played him, if not as a starter then as an impact sub, or a player who could play every other game for 30 mins at least, but with time and with changing coaches he just gets less and less time, and now we got to the point where he isn't playing at all. I don't get it, I don't get it at all.

He'll need time though, his likes to play possession football and we're not exactly bleesed with players that can pass the ball.

Our directors would have to work very closely with him on the transfer market but I would welcome him.
