There was always crap like this. Mourinho's just more entertaining than Fergie, Wenger, Big Sam, Harry Rednapp, et al. Even the ever-entertaining WGS moved north to Celtic ("Down, negative-man, down!").
Though last year's Fergie-Wenger "Soupgate" episode made for some laughable entertainment. ;)

I found it rather dull, TBH. Nah, Mourinho's far better entertainment. I mean, the man's single-handedly taken the attention off his £50,000 a week reserves, and drawn it all on himself. He's in trouble now for accusing a Wigan player of faking injury (http://www.football365.com/news/story_171946.shtml)

The staid EPL is a little shocked by Mourinho's style, that's for sure. Which is why I found the "Soupgate" thing so funny... a British comedy of understated manners.

The thing about Mourinho is that he often states the obvious, which isn't always in good form given the status quo of the league.
