Ready for Berne

With the League on a hiatus due to the National team games, Juventus are ready to play Friday night's friendly against Young Boys in Berne.

After four days' training in Vinovo, specifically carried out on the synthetic pitch - as the Stade de Suisse, where the game will take place, has a similar pitch -, everything is ready for the match. The Bianconeri will travel to Switzerland tomorrow morning and come back to Turin straight after the game; then they'll enjoy three days of rest.

Claudio Ranieri has as many as 10 players missing for this trip to Switzerland. Buffon, Chiellini and Iaquinta are all with Donadoni's National team, preparing Saturday's game in Genoa against Georgia. Criscito is with Casiraghi's Under 21 National team, who will face both Croatia and Greece. Andrade, Boumsong, Camoranesi and Marchionni are still injured, expected to recover at different times. Trezeguet and Palladino have various aches and pains and will miss the game so that they can fully recover in time for next week's League game against Genoa.

Consequently 16 first team players will take part in the expedition.

Goalkeepers: Belardi, Novembre, Vanstrattan
Difensori: Birindelli, Grygera, Legrottaglie, Molinaro, Zebina
Midfielders: Almiron, Nedved, Nocerino, Olivera Salihamidzic, Tiago, Zanetti
Forwards: Del Piero

Four youth team lads will also be added: defenders Bassaoulè and D’Elia and forwards Pasquato and D’Antoni.

Have you seen the selected players?

Our strikers are: Del Piero, Pasquato and D'Antoni ... What's the point?

On the good side, Bassaoulè is selected, hope to see him on the pitch!

pasquato is highly rated as well.. an agressive giovinco style player

lol nice, very original, a URL link making fun and pointing out the obvious as if nobody knew...how funny is that. You took time out of your day to infact look at my avatar, think of some ridiculous way to make fun of it, and write up a stupid ass URL. Didnt your mother ever tell you if you dont have something nice to say then dont say anything at all? You seem to like dissing other people on this forum pretty much all the time, so you must be pretty bored in life. Class act man.

HT result: 1-1 goal for Juve: Olivera.

Formation:

_______________Belardi______________
Birindelli__Legrottaglie__Zebina__Molinaro
Salihamidzic__Zanetti__Tiago__Nedved
___________Olivera__Del Piero________

Not the right positions in my formation but who cares?

Tiago chosen over Almiron.

Does that tell something about Tiago or Almiron?
I don't think it means anything. Almiron played 90 minutes against Fiorentina, Zanetti and Tiago did not feature and thus they are playing now.

Match ended 1-1.

Del Piero played the whole match, Esposito and Grygera replaced Nedved and Zebina at HT.
Later on Almiron Nocerino Bassaoulè and Pasquato came on.

Most important: No injuries it seems!

Ranieri gave the lads three days off. Next match: 21st of October, home v Genoa.
