As I was watching the games, the thought that kept crossing my mind was "this team has no chance of winning a scudetto this season...."

I'm sorry, but that screwy-eyed Marotta hasnt brought anyone in who is going to help this team win any trophies this season- Pepe ?? Give me a fucking break. Martinez ?? No comment.....and we are trying to offload Camo, who is better than both of those clowns combined, for God knows why

Which brings me to Diego. We would be a laughing stock if we sold him...he was the best player out there by far. I dont care if its a straight swap for Dzeko, I want us to keep Diego !!!

I have little confidence in Del Neri as a coach...he is mediocre at best. Just look at how quick Porto offloaded him, that should tell everyone something.

This team needs Krasic for starters, and then we need a reliable LB, and a CM who can control the middle, and get the ball to the forwards. Momo and Melo dont fit that bill, and Marchisio is still a little too green, and may never fit the bill.

I like Lanzafame, but he is still too young to make a big impact this season

While were at it, we should offload the useless Grygera and Brazzo....get some used footballs in exchange, I would call that a fair trade off
Pretty much agreed. This team is going nowhere as we have not really upgraded any positions. Motta is still quite questionable and Bonucci isn't some tried and true CB, and everything else we have brought in from Pepe to Lanzafame is proven mediocrity.

I don't know why this has to happen, but it's quite clear that Pepe was brought in only because he has Azzurri caps, which is a joke by Marotta. Not a big fan of this bullshit.

I've always liked Juventus affiliation with the National side especially when some fantastic players have played for Italy and Juventus.

There isn't anything wrong with Juve having great Italian players, obviously. It's when shit players are bought just because they are Italian internationals that really screws Juventus over.

srsly who ever thought that we are going to win the scudetto is just ......
the only thing i hope that we are moving forward now and not backwards anymore. we came back from serie b and had a 5 times stronger team than what we have right now.
what i hope not even expect from this team is a top 4 finish nothing more...but everything less than a top 4 finish would really be disappointing. we need to get back to the cl. so that we can attract players to come here and we can make some good money.....

Bonucci isn't proven. He may be talented but that shouldn't make you confident at this point.

Storari... well... OK. He's decent. But if that is it then we have major problems, and you should admit it.
When we had a finished Cannavaro in the backline last year then yes Andy, Bonucci fills me with confidence, but thats me personally.

Storari was fantastic last year easily the best keeper in Serie A so yes he fills me with confidence.

We've had majoy problems since 2006, why should I admit it now? I've already admitted it back then.

the thing with storari is that we have buffon....even though he had his fair share of injuries i was pretty relaxed cause of manninger....
so he maybe a good goali but that isn't really a signing that makes me feel good

Which signings truly, and I mean truly, inspire confidence thus far?

To me, none. Everybody is either unproven or proven mediocre.
Same here.

But even if one of the younger fellows does turn out to be a great player and to have a great season....how much will that one player change?

Say Motta suddenly learns how to defend and plays great all season. Will a RB really change that much?

It will only mean that we made 1 position stronger, but in a team that needed to strengthen at least 7 positions in the starting XI, 1 player won't change much. And, as we both said, it's a huge question if we'll find even that 1 single player of the new purchases who will make it and make Juve stronger.

At this rate, we will be a competitive team in seven years.*

*all notions discussed here remove the high probability that other positions will need to be replaced in future transfer windows.

You call Martinez a clown, who we have hardly seen and have no idea about how he'll perform, and at the same post you say that you like Lanzafame, who, apart from assist to Diego, was utterly useless last night in both games.
I've seen Martinez play for Catania, albeit only a few times, and I never thought he could be one to add to our team for a scudetto run....btw- the few times I've seen him in a Juve jersey, he's been utterly shameful

Lanzafame has some promise...more so than Martinez, but he may never fulfill it as well...didnt I pretty much say that in my last post ???
