A friendly match in Liège

Because of the postponement to April 10 of the championship match with Napoli, Juventus organised an international friendly match for the end of the week. Saturday March 24, the Bianconeri (without the players engaged with their nationals) will be in Belgium, in Liège, to confront with Standard. The match takes place at 6.00 p.m., at the "Maurice Dufrasne" stadium.

Information about the event organisation are available on the Standard Liège official site: standardliege.be.

This is off-topic, but I hope Belgian members have some knowledge about it...

http://www.ansa.it/site/notizie/awnplus/calcio/news/2007-03-21_12153253.html

It says that Belgium has just started invetigating the Juve transfers to Standard Liege...Or that's what I understood...
True, belgian justice is doing some investigation on transfers that happened in the past but don't expect much problems with it.
Just eysterday the news came that no one who was involved in the big bribing scandal from 1.5-2 years ago will be punished by the Belgian football federation so then I surely don't expect much problems coming from this investigation, and if there will be problems, it will be for Standard, surely not for Juve.

We should rest our starting eleven for this game. 42 Serie B matches is enough for one season. We can give some of our reserves and youngsters the chance to play in this match.

I'd like to see Mirante or even better Belardi get playing time in this match. In defence players like Piccolo and Urbano ought to get a shot. In midfield hopefully we'll see Marchisio, De Ceglie, Paro and Marchionni play.

Too bad we cannot give Bojinov some minutes in this match. He could've really used it.

I think we decided to play this friendly to keep the engine running and also give some match fitness to those who normally don't play much. Let's have faith we avoid injuries and win this match in style.

Forza Juventus!
