Hey, mates.

I know there's a special Italy WC thread, but I thought from now on we could have special threads for each Italy match and discuss matches live too (as we do with Juve games) :) U know, formation, news before the game, analisis, ratings maybe after each one. Most of Juve fans will be cheering for Azzurri + 5 Juve players will play for Italy, so me thinks there could be heated discussions before, during and after each match (hopefully till the FINAL one :))

So the first preperation match will be against Switzerland on 31st of May.

Who u think should Lippi line for this one? Switzerland are in WC too, so it shall be taken seriously.

Forza Azzurri !!!

to be honest i dont care what the result will be for this match, i just hope no injures for azzurri players. why i dont care about result? lets say, if azzurri beats them like 3:0 or something then players might feel a bit overconfident, considering world cup is starting very soon. And if azzurri loose, then again, it doesnt matter, its just a friendly, to try out some things before world cup. the result of this game doesnt matter AT ALL. draw would be good result for both teams.

This is something reasonable to say. I like the World Cup with all teams having their all their best players fully fit.

btw i watched today in eurosport a football program where they are talking about young players to watch in world cup. and just today they showed Tranquillo Barnetta, whos swiss player, his playing for leverkusen, and he looks pretty good player, he also sayd that he would want to play in italian league one day! and they mentioned that juventus and milan have shown interest on him. his 21 years old. i dont watch bundesliga but in eurosport they sayd he has been one of the best players in leverkusen.

    this is him

so if his dream is to play in italy, he probably wants to show a lot in this match, though then again its just a friendly and wouldnt be wise to risk getting injured before world cup. anyway just thought it would be worth mentioning, who knows, maybe future juventus player ;)

alot of starters wont play, at least that would be the smart thing to do. only starter i c getting alot of playing time (in comparison to other starters) is totti. His match fitness still isn't 100% supposedly. These friendly's will help him get back into shape, so come june 12th, he will be able to last for 90 min.
