I thought Pereyra would be a littler rougher around the edges in terms of ball control and passing. He seems quite composed on the ball and has very good technical ability.

The price is still a bit high but so far I can safely say he is not a cack player.

Motta has a swell fucking career, every season a new random Serie A club he goes to, but in between them in the summers, he gets to vacation with Juve in our pre-season, with his bewildering Moscardelli wannabe beard and general aloofness. Sweet deal. See you next summer Marco!

First Half:

Played possession football, good ball movement with some good build-up plays. Sorenson looking good; pretty good passer as well. Overall pretty good first half, a lot of our players are rusty but play has not been awful.

Motta should be loaned out, preferably sold this mercato.

:D

Did we give him a 6 year contract or what? Feels like he's been with us forever

How someone like Motta manages to get into pros is amazing feat by itself. No matter the opponent, the level of competition, friendly, etc... he always sucks, nothing goes his way.

Pereyra looks like a CM to me definitely. He's a bit like Vidal but not that good obviously. I can't see him as an attacking mid/winger. So we still lack those kind of players IMO. We really needed to buy wingers/ams that would kill Serie A's slowblokes with pace. Only Coman is our hope now I guess.

Our team's playing on autopilot but a bit clueless in attack. That's when Conte intervened shouting all the time when we couldn't break through.

I'm waiting for Coman and change of formation tbh. It's obvious these players can play 352 but I wanna see some improvement.

I've been wondering the same about Borriello -- who's in my opinion much worse -- since he's earning 4mln/season. What a rip off.

I'm not watching the game. Is he fast? Acceleration?
