and which of those would have looked so significantly out of place last pre season? or the one before it?

we were shit all last pre season...didnt prevent the 100+ point season
at least we were losing or struggling to beat teams who were ahead of us in their pre season preparations such as everton and la galaxy... at the same time we beat malaga the summer before and beat our usual low end Italian sides with ease.

We looked way worse last year, just sayin'. The same issue.
look at the teams we played last summer, far superior than those we've played this summer. Just sayin'

you keep saying that as if to say when the season starts everything will be fine. There are some awfully worrying signs such as lack of creativity and build up, poor defensive set up on corners, lapses in concentration in defence the link up play is next to non-existent
nothing new. we have 2 years being like this.

The same reason we went to the States and got embarrassed.
erm no... last years tour was a disaster, mainly as the choice of venue was poor, results were ofcourse worse.
this year the choice of venue is probably the best for Juve, very important to put on a show imo.
