He was very good back in the days.

Now with 2.5mln/year we could have a very good transfer as long as he takes Cannavaro's place and we sign Bonucci, which not very likely.

I don't see why should we get rid of one, and buy 2 players? I think we're only planning to buy Gallas and if that's the case I'm against this transfer.

I saw two games from Ariaudo at Cagliari where he was okay but apparently he sucked in a large number of them.

For us I thought he (Ariaudo) was very good, I'd be a lot happier if we brought in our own product and trusted him. His poor form could be related to Cagliari's bad run at the end of the season.

Gallas will be a quality signing. Some calm, talent, huge experience, to play next to chiellini. Giorgio still needs that next to him, not a youngster. Because there is still maturing to be done for our babyfaced giant at the back...Gallas and Bonnucci, would be wicked. With Ariuado back also, if he is good enough. We need 4 centrebacks. Same for every position really...TWO challenging. healthy COmpetition for starting spots, all round the field. Surely thats the aim???

Gallas, Bonucci and Pepe and almost no money spent.. that's a great way to start the mercato. And I rate Gallas highly as a player not just because he is free, plus that I don't know if Bonucci is ready yet for Juve, a rotation between them would be perfect.

There's nothing wrong with Gallas as long as he isn't assured a starting spot. For free he's a great pick up
