Well, Marotta needs to look up the definition of compromise and negotiating.

He can't always get players on his terms, and if he wants a quality bench player, he's obviously gonna have to pay.

Palombo :yuck: :inter: Isn't that fucker going to the purple rats? A disgusting player for a disgusting club. Sounds right :agree:

Quoting these two from XT, for different perspective (non Juve fans) and little update (actually seen him regurarly), first is a Porto fan, ze other one a neautral:

This transfer window. I'd be glad to see him gone because:

A) He's injury prone
B) He's lazy
C) He plays 1 good game out of 5
D) Still has some market value after a good season last year

The truth is that in the position he plays(central midfield), we have Moutinho and Defour, two superior players in everything except long shots which Guarin is amazing at.

He had a great 6 months of football last year, but in general he struggles to pass the ball, is all physical brute strength, and is very, very inconsistent. He also picks up a little injury after almost every game.

With the right coaching and a renewed sense of motivation, he is a good pickup, but has fallen down the depth chart at Porto and doesn't appear to be in the coach's plans.
100% on what Josh said - although again the key word with Guarin imo, although I haven't watched Porto the last few months, is motivation.

When he is, he really can be a world class midfielder, and all the errors in his game are way less importent - and Porto just had to sell him in the summer but didn't.

Also the Italian style of game will suit him alot more and he'll be more dominate cause as Josh said he has that brute strength to boss the midfield physically - and also has that eye and touch for the killer pass from time to time, and goal threat and that's a lethal combination in Italia, so thats another plus... in general I think he'll turn out to be a great pickup for you guys - in Porto he just "maxed out" so to speak.. he needs a new challenge.

I think he'll do good under Conte, getting him under 15mil is great value price.

    Guarin actually said that?

I have a soft spot for him as I used to buy him as a 16 year old wonderkid in FM years ago, and his friend also posted photos of him plaing FM on the sigames forum. Never thought he would make it this big :D
