Without going back any pages let me guess.....with Barzagli and Chiellini injured we should never have co-owned this guy?!?!?!? :(

Bonucci and Caceres are a higher level to him right now anyway, even if that is not saying an awful lot.

No, not really. The fact that he hasn't featured AT ALL yet for Bologna is the reason why we shouldn't have co-owned him.

The mere fact alone that he could play with Barzagli & Chiellini on a daily basis and learn from them is enough reason to keep him. Like I have always said, if a club wants a youth player then they have to have some kind of guarantee that he will be used.

This isn't the case. Now, do we no longer have any say in his development, it seems like Bologna aren't doing it either.

Brilliant.

Note - personally I wish we had not co-owned Freddy.
Grazie.

So you want a player who can't get in the Bologna team to play for Juventus? Maybe we should sign Morleo or Portanova instead :D

Look, we have our differences JJ...I get it. :D

I think Sorensen did more than fine to warrant himself some PT here at this club. Bonucci, in all his anti-matter splendor has caused more harm than good. So why, is it that you are against giving Sorensen time in his natural role, which you so eloquently pointed out in the game thread he made his fair shair of mistakes, albeit not high lighting the fact he wasn't playing in his most comfortable role. :D

He'll be a good player one day, I'm pretty sure. This has turned into a shit co-own for him so far, it can happen with particularly young players. Even at modest clubs like Bologna coaches will often not risk and go for experience. Considering Portanova is captain he isn't going to be replaced, then they've got experienced guys like Antonsson and Loria all vying with him for one place. Sorensen will probably be better than all of them one day, but picking them is the 'safer' option. Even if you look to use him at right back there are several options. In hindsight this was Bologna trying to get potential value as much as the player, but his value will only go down when he is not playing.

Sorenson is one youth player that should've stayed with us! Like Mr.Hustini's been saying he'd be learning valuable lessons from two of the best CB's in the world! Kid has potential and he showed it time and time again. I really thought that Bologna would be playing him...I'm surprised he's pulling off and Elia and not featuring in any games.

OK, let's play hypothetical:

Hypothetically, Hustini doesn't get his way and we loan Soresen:

Do we (as a club): Let him go to a club with apparantly a solid CB base already where it takes his chances down of ever playing...

Or do we: Let him go to a team where we will at least know he has a great chance of making an impact and have that chance to break into the team?

*I hate these sort of loans, etc, we all know this...why can juve at least think strategically about where we send a player? Perfect example: Immobile...look at him now! As against these deals as I am, at least send the young player to a team that he can break into...the guy is only, what 19?

Hust, it also depends where the player will go and who wants him. He'd probably think Serie B is beneath him, given his Juve appearances, then it depends who wants him. Seems like we have just gone with the 'quick money and let's see what he does' option, which may backfire.

This was an investment for Bologna, so unless they're willing to play him we could just get him back and not lose out, doesn't really matter. They'll have to start using him eventually, otherwise they've just lost 50% of a player they actually are using, to Juve.

For those speaking about learning from older players, I bet you were stoked when Cannavaro arrived to teach Ariaudo the art of defense? Game time is the solution to player development.

Which he isn't getting. The whole point of this was for him to play, wasn't it?

I think I covered that in the rest of my post?

Maybe Juventus will ask for him back in the summer if it continues, then loan him somewhere with greater opportunity. Would be more worrying if Immobile at 22 cannot find consistent game time, which I don't think he'll get at Genoa.

EDIT: Oh, Salv already got that covered.
Covered, yet unproven.

If that is the case, then why the hell wasn't that thought of before he left for Bologna?

If that really is the case, then we just wasted half a season for him.

Ariaudo is now a top CB because of what Cannavaro taught him.

Pinsoglio too because of what he taught from Buffon.

Same with Giovinco because of Del Piero.

Proven? No shit.

I don't recall Gio v DP, I do, however, recall Palladino v DP. Don't really recal Pinsoglio either.

Any who, it is clear, as predicted, that it would have been better for Sorensen to stay here rather than ride the bench at bologna...if he even gets called to the bench that is.

---------- Post added 05.03.2012 at 15:47 ----------

Gio could have quite easily stayed on and outperformed Martinez, IQ, Toni, Amauri and probably even Mirko with quite ease.

You people will never learn. Good thing we have a rich club that has the financial backing to make the same mistakes over and over again. :touched:
