It says that Bonucci is considered good enough by Conte to start matches / be a backup. Bonucci is not terrible, did you see him against Inter and Milan? He is just inconsistent.

Sorensen is consistent though. Every defender is going to make mistakes, and quite frankly Sorensen makes less than Bonucci. Add to that that some of Bonucci's mistakes put us under threatening goal scoring situations. Just look at him the last game when they equalized!!

Sorensen proved enough to oust Bonucci from the backup roll, at least in the smaller games. Freddy has shown some class, even not in his proper CB role. That says a lot.
