Looks like Conceicao himself wants to continue with us(probably doesn’t have that much better offers either), which is likely why we’re trying to force Porto’s hand, so i still think we’ll find a solution sooner rather than later.

Yeah but why? What's the purpose of negotiating a 30m option if we don't intend to use it and penny pinch afterwards?

We did the same with Alcaraz and had a massive option to buy we were never willing to use. Why even bother and negotiating then?

This might work as a consumer wanting to buy a car but for a publicly listed company it looks odd

It just gives a bad rep long term. I dont think other clubs would want to do loan businesses with us if we ditch out on him. I couldn't care less about Chico but it's the business dynamics on our side that botters me.

Also this is a terrible ROI. We paid 10m for his loan, for players with 3 goals 4 assists. That's more than 1 million for every goal contribution

Porto have turned down first #Juventus’ bid (€22M) for Francisco #Conceicao. Chico would like to stay at #Juve, but Bianconeri don’t want to trigger the release clause of €30M (valid until June 15) and have asked a discount to Porto with the payments in more installments

Comolli should have one of his data guys set up an occurrence in Outlook where he sends Porto an email with a new offer. Next one to go will be €22.1M. It could save the business time.

Tudor’s Juventus continue to work on keeping Francisco Conceição, currently on loan from Porto.

As we’ve reported in recent days, Juventus’ priority is to try to retain the 2002-born player, and negotiations with his parent club are ongoing.

A few hours ago – as reported by Sky Sport journalist Emanuele Baiocchini – Juventus made another offer for Conceição worth €22 million. Porto rejected it but have lowered their asking price to €25 million in an attempt to close the deal and reach an agreement. It’s also important to note that the Portuguese winger has a release clause that will rise to €45 million after July 16.

Additionally, tomorrow – July 11 – Porto will begin their preseason training for the upcoming season, and Conceição will not be taking part in the team’s gathering. However, the intention is to resolve the situation before the player leaves for the training camp.

25M? We will seal this soon imo. Hopefully we can sort something out with PSG for Kolo.

Yes it would be perfect so secure both of them. Then look for another attacker if we can sell Nico.

We’ll likely need to look for at least two more attacking players with or without Nico, especially with both Vlahovic and Mbangula being on their way out while Milik’s availability can not be relied upon.

One of the two i assume will be Kolo Muani, the other remains a question mark. So far let’s say we have a trio forward line of Yildiz-David-Conceicao, with the only two subs being Milik(non factor) and Nico who is also on his way out, plus hopefully Kolo Muani too if we can work things out with PSG.

Why would Porto not hold out for the 30m which was initially agreed if the clause goes up to 45m next week?

They already pocketed a 10m loan fee so surely they are holding all the cards right now?

They've also spent close to 30m on players already so there is a greater urgency and need for cash to purchase more players

After this nobody will ever sign a loan+agreed fee with us ever again. First week on the job and Dr Data has scuttled our reputation as being trustworthy negotiators.
All hail Dr Data, the king of the penny pinchers

Porto is also being open to a payment in installments for the total amount to buy Chico Conceição. In the coming hours, Juventus will increase the offer to 25 million to try to permanently close the deal. @OggiSportNotiz2
