I checked the thread and there is too much hate here for him for some reason.
He dribbles, he works hard, he helps in defending quite a lot, he is a good finisher and good at providing assists. I honestly dont know what you want him to do, take the team on his back in his first season despite a team that does not function? There are limits to what one guy can do.
Is he perfect? Obviously not but he is also young and I bet non of us here thought he would be performing at this level, and be one of our better players.

Maybe that game against Empoli got too much of you guys or maybe you just looking for someone to blame for this horrible season.

This isn't luck.

Just as Evra
https://football-italia.net/thiago-motta-weah-juventus-injuries-man-city/

Motta previously said he didn’t believe in bad luck, so does he have an explanation for the growing number of injuries?

“If you look at today’s football, even other teams playing many matches have a lot of injuries,” he replied during a press conference on Saturday.
“Look at Manchester City. Defence is a crucial department, but many teams have this issue. Look at Real Madrid, look at City, it’s not bad luck.”

i don't necessarily agree, but it's undeniable that year by year, players play more games, and those are more intense. we probably never had this many muscle injuries. whether it's intensity or bad methods, i don't know. i just know that for example douglas luiz played 5 seasons at villa and missed 5 games due to injury - he's at 16 and counting at jj in less than a single season

Meh, Evra's opinion isn't worth more than any other. On the contrary... He's a player with no medical or physical education. He could make a point but there is certainly more to it. If I'm not mistaken (?) we've had less injuries in Conte's seasons with us while he pushed everyone harder than all the rest.

The small core of players is probably a factor as well. But this is multi causal and not just 'heavy training'.

don't buy, sign Zhegrova. :numnum:
Im not totally convinced about Zhergova to be honest - He is playing in the French league where it should be far easier yet the numbers arent that great. It implies on inconsistency.
Conceicao is a must purchase ofcourse as even if you dont want him you could sell him for double that 30M Porto price tag (according to previous reports).

By the way since Im not a constant Zhergova watcher - Is he doing his share in defense like Conceicao?

But in Conte's first season we played a total of 42 matches until the end of May. Today we will play the 40th match of the season and it's the beginning of March.
In the next Conte seasons we've had injuries, though not as much as this year.

Exactly. Many games is definitely one of the many factors at play. Surely not the only one but having a narrow squad with some irreplaceables at first (like Bremer, Vlahovic and Cambiaso) causes injuries without a doubt.

Everytime i see videos of our training, we are either passing around, jogging or playing a mini match. Thats hardly gonna break these players.

Keeping them away from their families and controlling what the eat might though.
