This might be an unpopular opinion over here, but if it were up to me, I wouldn't spend 30M on him. I don't think he's a bad player, but I just don't see him as starter material in the long run. Realisticly we're going to spend something north of 60M on Nico and Chico and frankly I think both are rotational player at best.

I'd rather use that 30M on a proper baller

Which one of these ballers would you prefer?
Asking for amico mio, Cristiano G.

Would have figured it was an unpopular opinio. But we're talking about an attacking player who has 5 goal contributions over the course of 60% of the season. Those are Bernardeschi numbers imo. I'd rather save the money and go all in for a player like Noni Madueke or that Albanian guy from Lille. I'd reckon their transfer fee would be similar

i get your point, numbers aren't especially great.

thing is that this is a very badly organized team around the box. chico is doing his contribution. he can still improve with his final passes and decision making, he's still one of the very few jj players who can make anything happen on his own. put him in barcelona and he has 15 g+a at this point of the season.

i'd keep him.

It's 8 goals/assists and 2 won penalties in 1473 minutes. Far from great, but still among the best goal contributions in our team. Even if he doesn't develop into a starter quality player for a top team (he's only 22), players with his attributes are always useful, at the very least as impact subs.
My only worry is that fast wingers and dribblers like Chico usually get injured quite a lot and that injuries have ruined a lot of careers of players who are similar to him.

and he contributed again

just talk to him and make him understand that sometimes a pass is the better solution. and sign him, he's one of our players who can actually beat anyone in 1v1's in this shitty league. 30m is a bargain for a cheat code

He is just 22, he will learn that, 30m is a no brainer.

Nice and lovable little fella, also credit to whoever shouted at him right after he scored and run to celebrate immediately going to take off his shirt, he was already with a yellow card so very nice that Chico paid attention and quit the attempt to show some muscle and see the red card :))

He was getting shitcanned throughout the live thread, but I thought he was easily one of our best players even without scoring. Well done little Chico!
A lot of people seem to struggle to rate wingers. You have to accept that not everything will pay off because they are the ones who try things to open teams up. It only takes one moment and they can change a game. I'd gladly have a quality winger who can bring goals and assists, especially with our team who lacks creativity.

Conceicao doesn't always choose the best option but there are key things that he does that top wingers do. He knows what areas of the pitch to try to be fancy, he doesn't get his head down if he makes a mistake, he can beat a player and he is capable both in terms of goals/assists. He also was one of the few helping us get the ball down and relieve pressure in the first half.

I'd put him down as one of the first names on the team sheet every week.
