Wasn't Bastos amazing last season? What happened?

What are Lyon playing nowadays? Is Gourcuff back to being a good player?
Bastos was hot and cold last season, as he always has been throughout his career, capable of amazing things(his overhead kick last week a prime example) sometimes, but frustrating in other times.

So far Lacazette has been one of their best players, so he's got the left hand side on lockdown at the moment.

They were playing 4-2-3-1 in their first two games. Gourcuff was pretty good in both games, bagged the only goal of the game in their tough away win against Rennes. Then got injured, so now they're back to playing with two upfront.

Ya that free kick was sweet, Bastos is really making it hard for Garde to keep him on the bench. :D

Btw, even though Gourcuff was absent yesterday, Garde persisted with his favored 4-2-3-1. He moved Lacazette to a central attacking midfield position behind the striker, and he played Lisandro on the left(What a waste). Naturally Lisandro didn't play so well, and had to be subbed for Bastos, who completely changed the game btw, he was really lively on that left hand side, gave Gomis some service he didnt get in the first half with some really wicked crosses, and then goes on to score a screamer of a goal. The guy's really good when he's on form

the unfortunate part is that nobody have really shown any signs of actually challenging for the title this season, with that said unfortunately it might only be a matter of time before psg find their stride and dominate as expected whilst the others play catch up
