If you're asking about his performances this season, i haven't been watching the Ligue regularly this season, haven't been watching a lot of football in general actually, but from what i read, he hasn't been doing so well this season.

If you're just asking about him as a player, well i don't rate him that highly to be honest, he can be a decent player in his day, but all in all he's pretty inconsistent even though quite talented. He's a left winger, and can play as an attacking CM or behind the strikers. He's quite fast, a good dribbler and has a strong shot on him. He was brilliant last season mind you, and was actually one of the best attacking players in the Ligue, he was their top scorer too iirc, i think he scored 10 goals.

Other than last season, he's always been quite an ordinary player, even though he has been touted as one for the future ever since he broke into Rennes first team 4 years ago, never really reached his potential.

Rennes are an attacking team and i think he benefits alot from that, but if you want to have a look at a player from Rennes, then you should look at Jires Ekoko. Extremely entertaining player to watch, tricky winger cum forward. Also Yacine Ibrahimi, who recently came back from loan and is giving Marveaux a run for his money for a starting spot on the left.

Rooney, eat your heart out.

Look at the trend Marchisio begun. Amauri followed him, Rooney did and now Briand.
