Nene is a winger. The partnership will remain Hoarau and Erding(If the latter doesn't move)

This also means that they're probably not going to be able to keep hold of Sessegnon this summer.

Anyone watching the French Super Cup between L'OM and PSG?

Really disappointing first half, i'd expect more from L'OM especially. L"OM are dominating possession but aren't creating any chances, PSG have been much more dangerous thus far, and are taking advantage of L'OM's high defensive line. If you want to play your defense so high, you should at least press midfield players properly, L'OM aren't doing that, and the likes of Sessegnon and Nene are playing Erding and Luyindula behind the defense easily. The latter two have been rather wasteful though.

I'm expecting a better second half. Interesting that L'OM are now finally convinced they should give Ayew a chance, after loaning him out to a gazillion teams, it took a great WC performance by Andre to convince his club to give him a chance.

I'm watching it, thought the first half was very dull.

I want to see more of Valbuena and Azpilicueta, i dunno why so many people here wanted juve to sign Taiwo, i don't see anything special in him.

Also, Makelele :touched:

Glad to see Coupet playing again after the injury.

The first half was indeed dull. Matches between those two are usually really good. The reason Taiwo is rated so highly by people that have rarely watched him play is because he scores some fine goals, and he scores a lot for a defender.

I like ligue 1 actually :p

But it doesn't get much coverage over here, i remember i loved to see Juninho's Lyon :touched:, Blanc's Bordeaux is a side i liked very much too.

Regardind Taiwo, i'd prefer a reliable full back who's good defensively and can cross, fine goals should be a plus, nothing else.

Btw, wasn't Giuly in PSG? what's up with him? him in Monaco was :touched:

Quite an average game imo.

First minutes on the 2nd half had a lot of fouls.

Ben Arfa entered and was explosive for some minutes and then dissapeared into oblivion. Azpilicueta was solid, so was mandanda.

Giuly was the more impressive for PSG imo, Nené performed well too, Luyindula had a chance to win the game towards the end.

PSG's strikers were horrible, Erdin was wasteful and Kezman didn't really added much to the game, Luyindula missed a couple clear chances.

Makelele is just :touched:

penalties now.

Luyindula missed :sergio:

Ya Ligue is a very entertaining league, i get very good coverage here, so i'm thankful for that, as i see it doesn't get a lot of coverage in most regions.

Disappointing second half though, this game was really dull and unlike your typical PSG - L'OM matchup. Its going to penalties now.

Nasty tackle by Sakho, Poor lucho.

Ben Arfa in, Valbuena out.
That was a terrible tackle, Sakho has been guilty of many of those tackles before, i don't like that side of him, he's very rash.

Ben Arfa added some much needed penetration to L'OM's midfield, but his lack of teamwork has always been one of his biggest deficiencies and one of the reasons he sits on the bench most of the time despite his obvious talent.
There's Giuly, i hadn't seen him.

how did he played last seasons?

He wasn't very good last season, blows hot and cold, could be very good sometimes and mediocre at other times. With Sessegnon and Nene i doubt he'll get a lot of playing time next season. Sessegnon usually is one of Ligue's best attacking mids, despite having an average game today.

Marseille won, good for deschamps.

Mandanda stepped forward in that last penalty though. :D

About lucho, yeah it would but when failed, those penalties make you look like a retard.

yup, anyways very dull game, i blame it on the pre season and the lack of form of both teams.

I liked PSG more though, they were more dangerous.

I liked Giuly, too bad he's inconsistent nowadays.

Ya, still the start of the season. Normally Marseille under Deschamps are an extremely entertaining side to watch, I really enjoyed watching them last season.

PSG are a decent team too, they were better than Marseille today, but they too played below their potential, once Sessegnon and Mevlut return to form, Bodmer and Nene settle in with their new surroundings, PSG will be a much better team.

But i thought Nene was the best attacking player today.
