I dont understand why Gerets doesnt play Valbuena, he's the most in form midfielder in Marseille, and he always plays well even when he comes off the bench.

L'om losing 1-0 to Sochaux. Sochaux have been defending all game long, They're crowding the midfield playing with 3 cm's to limit Nasri's creativity..its working till now..Sochaux have also been extremely dangerous on the break.

Marseille lost their first game in the league evre since the winter break, they look like they've lost it, losing in the french cup to amatuers in midweek and now to Sochaux at the Velodrome.

Gerets was outwitted tactically by Gillot imo, gillot played with 3 Cms to crowd the midfield and limit Valbuena and Nasri's creativity, it worked well tbh, as both Nasri and Valbuena couldnt find a way around Pitau and the fantastic N'Daw.

Sochaux's wingers main task was to track back and not allow L'Om's fullbacks to go forward, both Bonnart and Taiwo couldnt find the space going forward.

Sochaux played on the counter attack well, they should have got more than one goal, but N'daw's goal was fantastic, he spotted Mandanda off his line, and lobbed the ball from 35 meters. easily contender for goal of the season.

Fantastic game of football between Rennes and Bordeaux, ended 2-0 to Bordeaux. Rennes didnt deserve to lose, they were the better team. Blanc has made Bordeaux a very efficient team though, they took their chances and made Rennes pay for missing theirs.

Rennes have a lot of quality youngsters coming up, both Briand(forward) and Marveaux (winger) have impressed me a lot this season.

What a game it was yesterday L'OM and Lyon!! Fantastic game of football.

Marseille outclassed and outplayed a Lyon team that clearly needs renewing. Nasri and Niang in particular were fantastic, Akale and Mbami were impressive too. Its the first time in history L'OM do the double on Lyon too.
