Whats happened to the Diarra that came on for Vieira in the world cup final? you know of all the players that participated in the final he is the only that I have no idea what happened to him post world cup.

Landreau was definitely at fault for Taiwo's goal but I did not see the winner.

Does Nasri not play all the time because of injury or does Gerets just rotate him?
Diarra is in Bordeaux like MC and xx said..and he's doing damn well for them too.

Nasri has been plagued by injuries this season..but even when he has played he has been terrible this season.
Is he? thanks.

Man, Cavenaghi has really come back from the dead. I had completely forgotten about his existence until recently.

There was a time that all you heard was Cavenaghi and D'Alessandro.

It would be a damned shame if Lyon won it for the 7th time and its good that Bordeaux are putting up the pressure
Cavenaghi has just recently started playing well for Bordeaux, he got his chance when Chamakh went to the ANC.And he hasnt disapointed.

Bordeuax have a good chance of dislodging Lyon Imo, they have a young talented manager in Laurent Blanc, he's built himself a solid team, what i like most about Bordeaux is that they are tactically flexible, they can play the 4-4-2 diamond using a playmaker and the straight 4-4-2, all depending on if Johan Micoud plays.

I hope so too, but they drew against Lille yesterday, and the difference is back to 3 points.

They play Lyon in 2 weeks time btw, that should be a cracker if Bordeaux are still within touching distance at that time.

Some very interesting matches this week in the Ligue.

Lyon - Bordeaux
Marseille - Saint Etienne

The Lyon - Bordeaux match in particular is going to be decisive in the title race, imo if Lyon win the title is in their hands. a 6 point gap is too much for them..Laurent Blanc can make history this coming Sunday.

I really admire what gerets has done with marseille, h transformed them from a loosing team into the third best team in the league, and he is doing good in the Uefa cup also, really strong.

Hopefully Bordeaux can surprise this weekend, would be great to see another team winning the title then Lyon.

Indeed, he's done a great job, he also did well in the CL, almost snatched the qualifying spot off Liverpool.

The best thing he's done though is stick to one formation, imo thats whats giving Marseille stability, under Fernandez and Emon, Marseille were playing in a different formation every two games.

Yeah true, he gave confidence to the starting 11 and the results came, then, when one or two players are out, the players that replace them came into a team filled with confidence and that brought them confidence also so it didn't matter anymore, he has done great, hope he will coach our NT one day but I think Marseille might be his last team

He's barely played this season, he got a season ending injury at the start of the season, dont think he played more than 6-7 games all season.

I expect a great league next season with Marseille, Lyon and Bordeaux all fighting for the title, unless Lyon sell Benzema for the price they are asking for and strengthen again.

Marseille have to keep Nasri, and buy themselves a decent winger and a rightback for them to compete.

Lyon are definitely going to strengthen though.

Imo Benzema is staying for at least one more season if not more, this is his first season as a starter for Lyon, he shouldnt be too hasty to move to a better league.

I dont know about Nasri though, he had a poor first half of a season, but he's getting back to his best ever since the return from the winter break, he probably will leave for a big team.

Ederson had a great game yesterday against Le Mans, created a lot of chances for his teammates with his crisp passing, too bad the Nice strikers cant finish for shit.

Today 2 great games:

Marseille - St. Etienne
Lyon - Bordeaux

I think I will watch the second one. I hope Lyon kick Bordeaux in the nuts.

Yup both good games, historically the L'OM - St Etienne game is miles better, but seeing to the fact that Bordeaux - Lyon match is between the second and first respectively, it will probably be more interesting.

Why would you want Lyon to win?? I hope Bordeaux win, so the league will get more interesting and because Laurent Blanc is their coach. Watch out for Fernando Cavenaghi and Wendel they're both in great form recently.
