Just the amount of luck McLarens have is unbelievable:(((

Alonso and Hamilton should've hit each other in the first corner they missed in millimeters.... :(

Several times alonso went of the track and nothing... damn it:(

I think in US Ferrari's will dominate. (They definetaly lacked the Strategy and Tactical preparation in Canada... They should've bet on Safety Car appearing.. also they could try 1 pit stop tactics... Wurth managed in 1 stop) damn it:( I'm pissed off...

P.S. I actually prefer Moto GP :) Much more fun!

HOW CAN ALOSO SAY THIS :( THis is shameful

"I was a little bit unlucky I think," the reigning double world champion told journalists at the track afterwards. "It was a strange and difficult race and I knew the safety car would provide some drama if it came out. Both times we had to pit there was a safety car, but if it had come out either one lap later or one lap earlier the result would probably have changed completely."

Its good that Alonso hasn't won and Kimi decreased the lead a little bit...

But Kimi lacks stability :(((( Ferrari needs some changes in Strategy and Tactics also:(

I swear they were heavy on fuel.

Massa was doing faster laps then alonso during the first stint but the safety car ruined our 1 stop strategy.

And I forgot to mention about Robert. That was an awful incident, I hope he is ok and racing soon.

And Wurz 3rd :D

I am glad I haven't watched a single race this season. I declare it officially that I am no longer a Formula 1 fan.

Alonso is a sore loser. Hamilton might just surprise everyone this year. Kimi should retire & Massa is still an unfinished business.
PS/Catalunya was crazy! Casey Stoner & Rossi produced one of the most interesting GP's for a while.

what's the reason?
Well let me put it this way, since they changed the rules (especially the qualifying ones) a couple of season ago I started to lose interest. The game has become much more complicated than it used to be. Then this season the king of the ring is no longer there. Then comes the fact that Alonso is the Formula 1 version of Barcelona, so you got it.

Alonso: McLaren favours Hamilton

12 June 2007

Double Formula 1 champions Fernando Alonso has admitted he is not feeling that much at home at McLaren as he had hoped for. Hamilton has taken his maiden win in Formula One on Sunday and is now leading the F1 championship.

"From the first moment I arrived at McLaren I wasn't comfortable with everything," the Spaniard told Cadena Ser radio. "This is an English team, with an English team-mate. You know that all of the help goes his way. I have understood that from the first moment and I won't complaint about it.":pumpkin:

Alonso is currently eight points behind on Lewis Hamilton after finishing seventh in the Canadian Grand Prix. Alonso isn't worried and believes he has enough chances to win the F1 championship title for the third time in a row. "I am not too worried," he said. "I feel good and I know some might have higher expectations but I am standing where I wanted to be when I joined Mclaren."

Alonso's favouritism claims rejected
JAMES MCMILLAN

McLAREN boss Ron Dennis insists drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have a "positive and growing partnership" and says that there is no favouritism towards the young Briton.

Alonso revealed this week he has "never felt totally comfortable" at McLaren since Hamilton, 22, was confirmed as his team-mate for the 2007 season. The Spaniard joined McLaren from Renault after back-to-back drivers' championships but hinted he feels slightly sidelined by the arrival of a British driver at a British team.

Hamilton has so far outshone his team-mate, securing his first Formula 1 victory at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on Sunday and leading the drivers' championship by eight points in a sensational rookie season.

Alonso said on Tuesday: "I have a British team-mate in a British team, and he's doing a great job and we know that all the support and help is going to him and I understood that from the beginning."

But team principal Dennis countered in a statement on the team's website, mclaren.com, which read: "It's completely understandable that the results of each Grand Prix are going to provide both the British and the Spanish media with an opportunity to hang on every word that the drivers say - and sometimes quotes are taken out of context which can put a completely different spin on an innocent remark.

"The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team is made up by extremely passionate and competitive people and there is a healthy competition between the teams working on each car - this is inevitable and there is no issue with that.

"However, I can categorically state once again that both drivers have equal equipment, equal support and equal opportunity to win within the team and both Fernando and Lewis know and support this.

"Fernando's comments when read carefully are correct; he hasn't been with the team long and the relationship can only continue to develop. The team is not going to do anything to jeopardise this positive and growing partnership."

Having gone to New York for a couple of days to celebrate the weekend victory at Montreal, Hamilton arrives in Indianapolis for this Sunday's United States Grand Prix delighted he can get behind the wheel so quickly again, even if his only experience of the famous track has come from playing computer games.

"It still hasn't really sunk in that I have won my first race," Hamilton said yesterday. "It was an amazing weekend for me and it is fantastic that we are racing again already this weekend."

Yet again, Hamilton will be taking a leap into the unknown at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with its long straight, banked curves and tight in-field.

While he had never seen Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve before last weekend, he prepared for the race by using the McLaren Mercedes driving simulator at team headquarters in Woking. Even that luxury has escaped him this time round.

"I actually haven't been on the simulator [for Indianapolis], but I've seen it on computer games," Hamilton added. "I don't really know what to expect. But I'll be going there with an open mind and having to do the same sort of job as I did here in Canada."

Not that it means anything but still...

Hamilton to keep Montreal trophy

Wed 13 Jun, 06:38 PM

McLaren Mercedes looks set to break with tradition by letting Lewis Hamilton keep his crystal trophy after winning his maiden Grand Prix in Canada.

Contractually, the Woking based team's drivers must relinquish their podium prizes so they can be displayed at the impressive McLaren Technology Centre.

Replicas are then produced for the drivers.

But Team Principal Dennis suggested in Montreal that he will not be seizing Hamilton's Montreal trophy.

"That wouldn't be right, would it?" Dennis smiled to the German broadcaster Premiere.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Though he definetly deserves it, I was quite surprised by this decision.
