thx all, for now I am hanging in there, the advantage is that we have had almost 3.5 years to think about this, biggest blow will be when the moment is there I guess.

I'm very sorry to hear about all this chester, my thoughts are with you.

When I lost my grandfather a couple of years ago, we had also had a few years to think about it. I can't really say if that made it that much easier. There was a sort of relief I suppose as the suffering was finally over. But easier.. I don't know.

Sorry to hear that bro. I just hope he doesn't suffer in his last days.

I don't know if one can hope for a miracle in this case .... this is hard to accept.

So sorry to hear, chester. My dad is still kicking it but I also know any moment he could be gone in an instant.

If anything, it's all a good reminder to make the most of the time you have while you still have it.

Really sorry to hear that buddy. It's never easy but I hope you can remain strong. I'm sure a few words from someone you don't know on the other side of the world won't mean a great deal but at least you can know people are thinking of you. Enjoy the time you have together left and if this forum can provide some temporary mental respite then that is good too.
