Gourcuff is better than Hazard when you start the game. Look for 'additional payments' on the right side when you're making the offer.

It won't deleted your game. You can just continue with it. As for pirated games, I don't know.

I imagine the patches will be pirate proof ie. It will shut down your game from running if you install them. If you install the patches you wont be able to use the updates without starting a new game.
