YO, I just got it downloaded, like 20 minutes at 100kb/sec, but when I install the patch it says that the file is being used by another process, but when I shut down Daemon Tools, it says the same thing again, what do you guys suggest?

Burke, it's working perfectly fine for me, just installed it fully right now and works with D-Tools as well, something you're doing wrong ?

Aha..well, if it's under control of another program, try uninstalling and installing FM then install the patch

That's not it, I think it is because when you start out, you have to change some of the aspects of the game. i just need to know which one to switch back to real quick.

Well, it says that FM2006.exe is under control of another program and cannot install the patch fully.

exit the game than try again.

but seriously, try and unmount the image from d-tools, not just close d-tools but unmount than close it. than try the patch. try also and turn off that compatibility switch, that's used for playing the game without a cd. if nothing works best bet is to re-install, though that's a real pain in the ass to do.

one more thing, you're not using a cracked .exe of the game are you? cause if you are that's why it won't install. if that's the case you need to re-install. good luck.

do you have the original fm2006.exe file? in other words did you change/replace that file with some other file after you installed the game?
