Ok I just got my hands on FM 2006, there is a patch but its around 91 MB and thats too much for my dial up connection, so is it a must??

I fired up the game and decided this time I wanna start from the bottom of the food chain, playing with Juventus all the time is getting boring, I'd like a new challenge. So I went to the extreme and chose a team from Serie C2/C, they are called Vittoria, seemingly they are contenders for a promotion and finished last season as runner up. I have a 128 K transfer budget :wallbang: and management would like me to reduce the wage budget to below the 75K!

Has anybody played the game at such a low level? If so are there any pointers would you like to give me? How did that end up with you? Is there any possibility I could make it to the big league? I dont wanna be stuck in the shadows for god knows how long!!

I am playing a game with Napoli, this is my seventh season, I won the CL last year. The thing with them is that they have a big stadium, thus more income. You move to Serie B pretty fast. Search for known old players, those who play in Qatar. They like to join Napoli, it is a team with reputation.

Yes, I played with San Marino for a few seasons. First get to know your team, dont rush into buying anyone. Get rid of the players with the highest wages, especially if they are old, try to sell as many players as possible and get the wages as low as possible. Accept that you'll be fighting off relegation for a few seasons and try to earn some money by selling players and having low expenses. After you make some money buy all hte best players in the league and get promoted.

San Marino? The NT squad or is there a club called San Marino? (I am at work now and can't bother googling:p).

Is there any relegation below C2/C?? LOL

The thing is that I took a quick look at my squad, there is only around 15 players with me right now:wallbang:(keeping expensel low)...But ya I think that is a good strategy along with Jeeks strategy of buying old players, the Batistutas and the Desaillys of Qatar would do me good.

There is a club called San marino in C2/B I believe.

And I dont think you can get the old players to join you until you get to Serie B at least.

this method works for me:

- mount the image with daemon tool/alcohol
- install the game
- patch it
- go to installation folder, right click on fm.exe file, set compatibility mode to Windows NT (yes! Windows NT).
- play..

no need to run Anti-Blaxx :D

Listen to this..I have 44 million remaining budget to spend, amazing I thought Ill get all the players I want so I could win the CL and the Serie A..
So, in March..the club offer me an extended contract till 2009 with wages and all that so, I accept, evrythings good, im a happy man with a new contract and boom..the money I had...dissapeared..vanished..the clubs money gone also, depleted..my budget for transfers, zero

For fvcks sake SI, when you release a game, check and make sure everything is okay instead of us doing it for you.

You could edit the game and give yourself a sugardady;)

There are several configuration files present in the game, these are generally either in a raw text format (open with notepad) or in a uni-code text format (open with Wordpad).

These files will allow configuration and alteration of several areas of the game. The format of these files is indicated below:

Init.cfg
This is a simple raw text file and is designed to contain a series of 'key words’ which trigger special things happening within the game. The basic range of keywords available for use by the public is listed below:

“SUGAR_DADDY”
This option will give you a rich chairman who will support you financially with transfers to ease your rise (hopefully) to the pinnacle of the footballing world. Your very own little Roman! To enable it, type “SUGAR_DADDY” in inverted commas, followed by your club’s long name e.g. “Watford”
