Football in Italy is very conected to Politics.
From Italian prime minister owning AC Milan.
Letizia Moratti (Inter) being the mayor od Milan.
Far left supporters of Livorno.
Far right supporters of Lazio.

In what way does politics influence Italian football?
How much can Lazio be defined as far right if good portion of its fans are far right?
Some people tend to lable Lazio facist or even nazi, to what extent is that perception realistic?
Is it fair to lable Livorno communist if some of its supporters and the best player are far left?
Finaly, what political afiliations, if any, can we lable on other Italian clubs?
Where would you put Roma, Milan, Inter and Juve in terms of political afiliations?

I don't know about the others, but I can tell you about the Juve fans:
Lots of them are huge Berlusconi fans while many want independence for Catalonia. Some are both Berlusca fans and want independence for Catalonia.

I don't know why, though.

No where really. That's all in the past. With the modernization, commercialization, and globalization of various popular leagues all that is pretty much a thing of the past. Old timers can cling to labeling the teams but that just not how it is anymore.

  1. Tax Policy could influence it greatly other than that not too much
  2. Lazio aren't far right, their cocksucking fans are
  3. It's unrealistic, considering Ultras aren't the majority of fans
  4. No that is not a fair label to put on Livorno
  5. None
  6. I'd like to put 3 of them in serie C

    In did.
Politics has to do with everything.
But the left - right afiliations are not as evident because most political parties in europe are pro-capitalist center anyway.
