You cant honestly be serious with saying Giaccherini is better then Giovinco. What in the world makes you say that? Seriously, walk me through it. And whats the odds you would be saying that if Giaccherini was still a Cesena player? FFS, I get the "Gio is overrated" brigade to a point, but this? Jeez what an utter joke.

Have you barely seen Cassano since he started playing at age 18 (I think)? The guys attitude can be questioned, but the talent was there to be a top player. The Inter goal still makes me smile.
Not questioning his talent, but Gio can reach the same heights and would have probably done it with consistent playing time. Only issue with Cassano as you stated was his head, Gio has his head on right
gia is gio 2.0 :)

with those 3 players we would be worse off than we are now. vidal>>melo gia>gio diego was a waste of space and money. dribble dribble lose the ball. hes perfomance in wolf. also shows that he is not good enough. and he cant play in a 4-4-2.
You've gotta be kidding me? :sergio:

@Dieci  alright, but i'll find one just as good soon :D

hehe its mostly a joke, bc so many ppl like gio so much and hate gia. but last years stats gia: 7 goals 4 assists gio: 7 goals 3 assists. so hes stats are infact better. gia is also 3cm taller than gio :p

Well we just signed Giaccherini, so he must be hyped to the sky. If the guy still plays for Cesena no one would even know that he exists.

Remember how people here hyped Diego to the sky and made him almost a god when we first signed him, and once he left they called him all sorts of names and made jokes about him. Pretty typical really.

Giovinco is a better player, but this doesn't mean he'd be a better choice for this Juventus. Giaccherini has a great mentality and has overcame difficult moments with hard work, he nearly died and was playing in serie C2 as a 22 year old before his metoric rise that led him to Juventus. This mentality will be useful for the current Juventus. On the other hand Giovinco is a diva, that would sulk if he ever hit the bench.

Because of this reasons I prefer Giaccherini for the backup winger position.

i am in favor of giving our players at chance atleast. imo giovinco is just an ok player, so calling someone better or on par with him is not hyping him to the sky

Yeah its typical, I and its a fucking joke, I seen it with so many players we signed, happend with Matri too, suddenly he was better then players he was clearly inferior to (Vucinic included, oooh we just signed him, he too will suddenly be better then obvious superior players). It can also be reversed, Pazzini was shit this shit that nonstop despite scoring for fun in Samp, but oh wait, he signs for Inter, he is suddenly great and we bemoan for missing out on him. Figures?

Giaccherini is a decent player, quick has technique and can be useful if used right (and dont expect much from), but if you dont see that he is clearly and undoubtly nferior to Giovinco, then I dont fucking know what to say to you.

HAHAHAHA, just look at this post, LOOK at it, we dont know fuck all about Giaccherini, but are desperate to find ways to big him up, only interesting mentality bit of this is the mentality of fans like you have sudden/automatic switch on in your stance on a player, as soon as he becomes a Juve player.

What the heck did you know about his mentality or hardwork in Cesena? Or when he was frigging 22? (4 years ago) How is it remotely relevant or anything out of the oridnary? You havent seen any showing of that. How is is it fitting mentality, to come from Serie C/small time inviroment? If anything, it oughta be quite a different setting to adjust to for him?

I dont mind the player, but you do not need meteoric rise to reach the goal of coming to Juve, the players that have come and gone in last 3-4 seasons should make that obivous.

Why are you crying over a bench player. Marotta is still talking about Malouda you know, even though we ain't getting him, it's clear that Gia is not a starter.

Lol, I asked you specifically, how he is better, you ignored it, I didnt accuse you of hyping Giaccherini, only of your notion that he is better then Gio, based on what? What do you have problem with Giovinco's stats? If you have problem with his stats, you should have problem with the supposedly better Giaccherini, considering they scored around similar figures, no? But on sheer performance, not stats, one got into the NT as regular fixture, while the other isnt, you know, decent argument for which one is better, no?

Heh, If you must know I know Giovinco's mentality and it's shit. Do you really think a player from a small team finally getting a chance won't be such a primadona as Giovinco. It's common sense. And Giovinco isn't all that, could be useful for us but constant bitching prevents it. Also Giaccherini is close to Giovinco the difference isn't big.

I can find players who had better stats then Xavi last season (didnt assist much, but all the same best midfielder in the world), does that make them better?

You dont know who is better? I'm pretty sure you said few posts ago Giaccherini is :p

All is not well LW-wise, and we might end up with no one..but complaining about a bench player is ridiculous. He's clearly not our solution to the LW.

Xavi is not about his "assists".

K, gotcha. Let me see, Giovinco was a treasure and a hero when he was in our shirt and silently and dutifully sitting on the bench unreasonable for near 2 years, but as soon as he leaves, he has shitty mentality, a primadonna and is a persona non grata. I wonder what the talk of Giaccherini's staunchly impressive mentality will turn into when he goes to another club, lol.
