According to calciomercato.com and gazzetta.it, Ruben Olivera is loaned to Atletico-Madrid until June 2004.

I guess we'll get Blasi back if his sentence is reduced.
great news... let this guy get some real action...

i'm glad it's a loan.

ATLETICO LAND JUVE LAD ON LOAN
Atletico Madrid have strengthened their squad after snapping up Juventus midfielder Ruben Olivera on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan usually plays in an advanced role behind the strikers and Atletico see him as a way to complement attacking pair of Fernando Torres and Demis Nikolaidis as well as lending support to Ariel Ibagaza.

Olivera has struggled for opportunities with the Italian giants since joining their first team squad at the start of the 2002-2003 season.

The winter transfer window closes in Spain on February 2 and Olivera, who will be officially presented to the press and supporters on the same day, is Atletico's second winter signing.

Last week the club signed goalkeeper Sergio Aragoneses from local Second Division side Getafe.

thats the best transfer (loan) we have done in a while. I hope he gets a spot in the Madrid based team and gains experience. Just hope, he is truly a great talent and comes back to juve soon.
