Juventus regrouped in Vinovo this morning to begin their preparations ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Fiorentina. Antonio Conte’s men got the working week underway by conducting a series of fitness tests alongside the Mapei Research Centre. These assessments monitor the players’ muscular, aerobic and anaerobic qualities, along with their recovery ability.

Three different types of tests were taken: Mignoni, CMJ and HIT. The first detects the build up of lactic acid; the second calculates the Bianconeri’s muscle quality and strength, while the third and final assessment produces accurate figures of the players’ recovery ability.

The Bianconeri will return to the training ground for their second workout at 2.30pm.
