Vlahovic is isn't Oliver bierhoff but he isn't too shabby in the air. His header last week was spot on. Yes using one goal as an example but give him more service.
as limited as he may be, him as an advanced winger with fagioli between the lines beats having chiesa covering the massive black hole area between vlahovic and our most advanced mid
unfortunately allegri is too busy worrying about 18 year olds hair rather than developing his nonexistent attacking philosophy

But what do you mean by this? Our entire strategy all last season was crossing for headers. Which is why Kostic had a good year. Dusan was absolutely awful at getting on the end of them and if he did, he usually flubbed them. He scored a nice one or a couple last year two but doesn’t change the fact he hasn’t been good at it in his career thus far.
Rabiot and McKennie will score nuff headers if Kostic is playing.
But if we're trying to maximise Dusan's impact on the games I think that's a smart move. If Kostic isn't a good fit then he's worth the sacrifice if if means Dusan gets 25 goals

looked absolutely clueless vs hungary, subbed out at half time. loic négo (32 year old le havre player) made him his bitch for the majority of the 1st half. and serbia play kostic's favorite 3-4-something. he's not in great shape.

I'm interested to hear opinions from people who understand football better than me. How do we feel about subbing him at half time?
It's one thing to swap out a young player like Barrenechea after 45- although he wasn't doing much it's not like Kostic was out of his depth. What could max have possibly seen that wouldn't be better served keeping Kostic on but changing the instructions given? Iling brings huge pace, but is less tactically aware imo and Kostic is the best crosser in the team.
What do we thing of that call? Why not just start Iling? Was the sub part of a broader tactical switch that I couldn't see?
Good game. There is no need to overcomplicate it with him, work some space and send it wide and he'll put in a cross that the defence will need to deal with. Defended well too.
Should be taking corner/free-kick delivery when on the pitch. No idea why Miretti takes them but when Kostic took over we scored 2 and nearly another from corners.
One pony trick but does it really well. When he isn't doing it, he gets a bit useless. So, when Chiesa occupy his space... Strange though, having both there should create opportunities for Chiesa since they have to mark Kostic too, meaning Chiesa should be able to drive inwards more easily. Just doesn't seem to work in practice.

Even with him being 30+ years old and a one trick pony, I’d take him over whatever the hell it is that Cambiaso has been offering outside of 20 good mins against Udinese.
Speaking of which, the chemistry between Cambiaso and Chiesa in the first game just disappeared out of thin air. I thought that inverted wingback role he took pairs well with Chiesa on the left flank.
he is a none trick pony. while cambiasso can play in back four if we hire a human being as coach and start playing like normal teams, this guy does not even have a role to shine.

Seemed to get criticism at half time but created 4 good chances, 3 of which really should have been goals (2xKean, 1xVlahovic). In a team that struggles for goals his ability to consistently creates chance is really important.
Great to have Cambiaso finding form too. Tactically they are quite different which is useful too to change things up.
