No, I haven't played PES since 2007 when I found all modes were easily compromised by taking the ball to the goal line and cutting in.

The players do whatever your tactics tell them to.

You create a player and you manage a team. Once you do this you have full control over the team as you would as a manager in career mode.

Now you have 2 choices for gameplay. You can choose to play only controlling yourself or in control of everyone. You are still able to make subs, change tactics, postions, etc.
