tight :thumb:

you need to do one more thing though.. Give your team some marketing value (I doubt they have that in the game) with some raw talent. Get Donovan so you can have a support striker. I think he'll complement Gila and Cruz

.,..

When I played the WE master league, I bought him and Di Natale. Donovan ended up as leading assist-man for the team and Di Natale as the top scorer.

Well thats a good idea..................................if I didn't run out of transfer funds. :D

Hopefully in January I will have enough to buy Donovan and another defender. Right now I only have 19 field players, so I'm afraid if injuries flare up that I will be a little short-staffed.

Not too shabby. His overall skill is 82 out of 100, and his top attributes are longball (85), dribbling (85), and creativity (90).
not bad at all..

In Fifa 2000, DP's overall was 83 i think.

Well, I am now at the end of January in my third year with Verona, and I'm at the top of the table with a 10 point lead over Milan, and a 13 point lead over Lazio.

Got myself a young (22) left back by the name of Nelson from one of the Portugese league bottom feeders, and the first thing he does in his debut match is injure Sheva for two months:D

That was worth the 3900 budget points.

Still have 20000 budget points left, but I'm saving them up for an audacious summer bid where by then I should have around 35000 points, which should be enough to buy Zlatan.

Just eliminated Milan form the Coppa Italia, and I have my first match in the 2nd round of the Champions League against Galatasaray in a couple of weeks.

I started a tournament mode, playing in Serie A with Juventus. After two dissapointing draws against Reggina and Cagliari, I managed to beat Inter (0-3), Milan (2-0), Lazio (0-3) and Roma (2-0), and now I'm top of the table.

I bought FIFA 2005 today and I must say it's DISSAPOINTING in capital letters.
I don't understand how its disapointing. If you think so, go return it then, and never play it again.

That's the best bit of advice you've given about FIFA to date :p

    Good stuff.

I forgot to save my season last night, so I lost all the transfers I had made. But actually I'm okay with it, as I was not pleased with the squad I had.

I think I will buy Mark Van Bommel from PSV to secure the midfield, and just stick with Jimenez as the playmaker and forget about Diego. I will also buy Andrea Carraciolo, who is a very good buy at only 14,000 points, and a skill level at 70. Also pondering a move for Van Buyten because I do not trust Bovo just yet.

Well its true. If you don't appreciate it, don't play it then. I consider it the best soccer game ever for PS2.
I hate to beat a dead horse here, but refresh my memory: have you even played Winning Eleven 7 for any substantial amount of time?

Please don't give me the "It's not worth it because it has no official names", or "I played it for 5 minutes, and that's enough to know that it's crap" argument

I have played it once, looked it over, and it felt like it was missing something. Didn't feel like the same experiance as playing FIFA.

Of course it doesn't feel the same as playing FIFA, but don't you think that's a bit of a silly criteria for judging it?

That's like me saying "I don't like soccer because I watched it once and it's not the same as basketball". Okay that's a piss poor analogy, but you get my point.
