FIFA is a joke, PES/WE is miles ahead. Andy, have you tried those at all? I've never ever met anyone that's played both and gone for FIFA, you'd be my first :)

Lately, Fifa, from 2003 to the current 2004, has been shit. But they have a better season, and they clearly put in more money for liscensing. I prefer Fifa. Bah. I'm gonna get harrassed alongside Andy. Meh, it was worth it.

Of course you can play cups, but I guess some teams will be made up from players with made up names. Haven't tried it yet though.

I've player every EA football game since 97, but i prefer PES3. I have to admit that Fifa 2005 sounds promising.

 (no disrespect to u arif at all..jus fifa :D)........but fifa looks and sound shite in comparison to the incoming pes4.
If you wants just arcade action fun, then you play FIFA, but if you want to replace real football with a videogame because you are too lazy for the real thing, then PES is your game!.

Ill take FIFA anytime!

Guys, I got WE8, the jap release for now on Ps2, since its modded and what not...and let me tell you....

ITS GOING TO BE THE BEST ****ING GAME EVER!

I am referring to Pro Evolution Soccer 4.

Not only has the graphics system improved TREMENDOUSLY, meaning like when there is free kicks, or they put the ball down for a corner or what not, but the passing system as well is just AMAZING.

The throughballs are BEAUTIFUL now. Really effective, and realistic. Work great against your opponents if you can pull them off, and have quick enough guys up top.

Game play is much quicker, and overall, game is looking a lot better aesthetically.

Only WE8 series can make me download or get a JAP Ps2 game to want to play it.

Luckily, Ive mastered all the menus, so it being in jap doesnt prevent me from starting up a game, or even a cup.

Theres also a lot more teams in this version, and they have rights to many leagues it seems.

Theres also the new feature of the uniforms getting dirty after a tackle or late in the game and what not, something that is SMALL, but very cool. Along with the ref now running the pitch with you.

The throw in system has changed a bit, but its still well down, more so then ANY fifa game out there.

I recently played World Tour Soccer 2005, actually yesterday, and I couldnt ****ing stand another second of that shite. Had to IMMEDIATELY play some WE8. They actually have a button that DIVES for you. Intentional dive. If you press R2, the guy just flops. So dumb.

Sure WE has handballs and what not, but it really fits the gameplay well.

Perhaps, Im just a bit excited, and eagerly await a decent english patch for this game, or PES4 to come out in October, but Im just sick and tired of all these wannabes/and other bandwagon soccer videogamers that come along and praise the FIFA series, and rave about how cool it is. Then when you mention it sucks, and that WE OWNS it, there like NOOOOOOO, nuh UHHHHHH. Its the best. Clearly, having never played it once.

Yes this is long, but if you got ANYTHING from this message, just know, WE8/PES4 will be the GREATEST game PERIOD for soccer on both the PC/CONSOLE this year, once again.

Dont waste your time or money with the Fifa series, its years behind anything close to WE/PES.

My $.02, back to play some more.
