I care way too much about the licenses in general to even give it a chance. When I played it several years ago, I thought the same. Slightly better gameplay, but that doesn't overshadow the fact that the teams have generic names and jerseys and such.

I see what your saying it kinda kills the football "simulation" when playing with teams like Madrid Whites or PM Black white. But you can take care of that by downloading option files or editing teams though it takes allot of time and effort.

But gameplay wise PES blows fifa out of the water.

I probably would have gone for the PS4 if it was backwards compatible. I don't want to have 2 gaming consoles on top of all the other junk I have and I don't want to throw out all the games I bought on the PS3. Plus a lot of the media capabilities of the PS4 are actually worse than the PS3 (not that I use that anymore) but unless the games were MUCH MUCH better I couldn't justify it. I am also not a hard core gamer - FIFA is the game I usually play the most (and my kids like Minecraft) and my suspicion is that the PS4 is more of an upgrade for more intensive shooting type games.

Clearly I aint the target market.

As someone explained earlier, overall ratings don't mean shit.

Though I do have to say, in general EPL players tend to be overrated a bit more in FIFA.

After playing more, I agree. Neur parried a cross he could have easily grabbed, allowing a tap-in at the far post.

The one thing that does my head is that when you steal a ball from the opponent when they are utterly fucked in their own half they always win it back. I think there is a pity timer as in it will favour the defending team when it loses the ball in it's own half and 8/10 times they will recover it some how.

Also as others have said goalkeepers are so inconsistent. They flap at crosses and let in some stupid goals that are 100% savable.

Got my copy few days ago and already feeling the differences in play (Please take me back to FIFA 16!). I cant get used to the new way set pieces are taken. Also ive noticed how passing precision is now more difficult and keepers lose their positioning often. I can see some benefits in this with realism but out of all the FIFA's in the past 3-4 years this one seems revolutionizing (especially set pieces). In game menu sends me back to past, in particular, the font which sends me back to FIFA 2011.

Oh im pissed off on how Union have a 90 attack and Juve end up with 85. Overall they cancel out with Juve having a better defence but the EA EPL favoritism doesnt end.

I noticed for the second year running at least on the PS3 version, the juve squad in season mode is not complete. There is no Cuadrado for instance.
