I noticed that I was getting easily beaten up when defending because I used the square button for tackling. Now I just hold R2 and X together and press the square button only in the right moment when the attacker is directly facing the defender. I won all 5 matches I played this afternoon this way.

why you hold r2 and x togheter ? if you wanne take the ball you have to stop running ,because if you run and you go 1step wrong than i use my right analog and pull away from you . do you use pressing in defends? in fifa11 it was holding square now it is holding r1 i use that alot than the cpu goes to the player with the ball and you can go to the player you think he is going to pass you really need that online. cpu sucks with proffesional its only good at worldclass and legendary but i never play offline only vs humans, that way you always have to adapt vs you rival, if you play cpu most games feel the same and you wanne do the same attack over and over again so you stay at the same level vs humans you become better and better . whats your psn?

Holding R2 makes another man pressure help you pressure the player, then square at the right time and you have it. but if you do it in the center of the pitch your players will push up and in no time they'll do a long throw and you'll find their player facing your goalie

Yeah, I actually noticed that today. By pressing R2 and X together, I was basically just covering the player. I'm playing on Career mode currently. Will love to play against you sometimes, even though you might destroy me.

why would i destroy you? i am known for wasting easy chances my peak was fifa2008 thats a longgg time ago and when i am 2-0up i become kaki . i never go for a 5-0 i just go for a good game and make fun the result doesent matter anymore 4me i learned that after 2008 in that time i was ranked first in holland and i won a fifa tournament in expo gent(belgium) but if you are fixated on your result and stats than the fun goes away just like COD those nerds cry if there kill ratio is under 2.0. i was also 1of those, i won 450matches and only losed 80 than i lost 100 and i was soooo angry in every game i lost and fifa wasent fun anymore than i thought FUCK THOSE STATS and i never cared again sinds than i only play for the fun . i will add you when i am online klin see you on psn

i am pretty sure R2 is just running i think you mean R1

you dont use the analog to run? you use the buttons? wow thats so 1997 i think that with the analog the player has more dimension to move around if you know what i mean. it was weard for me to at the beginning(fifa99?) when dual shock came but after a while you will see that with the analog they move better. i dident even know you could still play with the buttons

Yeah, I get bored easily and never go past the third season, so far I've played with Chelsea (too easy, quit after the first season), Valencia, Lille and now with Roma.

Roma is the worst of those teams though, I finished 10th my first season.

I try to avoid the top teams as much as possible.
