One of the best strikers in the world for a number of years now looking as though he might recapture that form. I don't agree with the price, I'm not sure I even want him at Juve but I'm not surprised by it considering the player and the circumstances.

How about two years of his form being poor then (6 league goals in ~50 appearances for Chelsea)? Including the fact he's been playing through injuries part of the time. And his huge salary among the top few in the world.

I see this is the player that Romeo was talking about then, as expected with Nick frantically posting about him.

Will Juventus give him the space to run into, which made him so effective for Liverpool? Suppose that could work with Pirlo teeing him up, but often we've had opposition sitting deep against us.

He isn't coming here on more than 6.5m/y euros without taxes and there he has 10.4m GBP(12.89m Euros) yearly.
If he has 3 years on his contract thats (3x(12.89-6.5)) more 20m euros without taxes from salaries alone.

IMO he's way too risky to buy and I hope the deal falls through. I don't think he will have the space. We're not a counter-attacking team, and clubs will sit back against us more often than not. We need someone more clinical in the air. But like I said, he's Fernando Torres and freak, inexplicable losses of form are usually over-looked considering how good he has been previously. 30M isn't a surprising estimation.

You guys are overthinking it. Spain don't play counter-attacking football yet Torres got no problem finding space in opposition box. If anything that should be a concern for Cavani looking at napoli's style of play but truth of matter is playersof this caliber will adapt as they're not limited,unless you play them completely out of position.
