Honestly, that guy looks absolutely finished. Even the Spanish are saying it.
AHAM - until they watch Llorente trying to outrun a defender on the counter for 90 minutes for the lack of better options. Abramovic/Chelsea combo has fucked up a lot of things and Torres is the latest example. Half of the players of that club are heavily undervalued and the 'painless transition' process, initiated by the latest spending spree of stolen money, and guided by the experienced AVB is proving a disaster. He is a great coach, they are a good team the combination is just a no-go. Either they have to dispense of the old guard (at a huge cost) or change coach again. Don't know which is worse and more humiliating...
Torres is a fantastic player. I can't stop thinking what would have been have we overspend a bit and brought Mata for the left side instead of Mirko the peasant.

Torres' Spain form in the last 2-3 years is also abysmal, I don't know why you are making excuses for him.

Maybe because he is one of the most expensive transfers in british history or perhaps because he is an EC&WC winner? Jeez, i dunno...:cronios:
What I am certain about from the moment I saw his play against Manchester United away in September I knew the only (and I admit astronomical in proportions) problem he had was his mentality. When chelsea were having self belief in their play he was looking his old self. Having Conte here and a much more united team - I am certain he would be a huge success. And since you've mentioned Spain he could be the future there too given what happened to Villa.
It would be a win-win if he moves here I am certain of it.

Too risky. Champions League season, he'll be in a new league. If he doesnt click we'd lose a sizeable chunk of our mercato budget. I'd play safe with Suarez honestly. Torres is finished (in his head anyway)

have we been rumoured to Suarez?

i just cant see us getting a player like Higuian, he plays for Real Madrid, why join us??

I believe Torres is probably the only chance of getting a world class striker who is out of form due to not fitting into the chelsea environment. Others mentioning a loan with an option to buy for maybe 10 to 15 million would be fine with me. all this time off football is giving him a chance to rehcrage his batteries, even if it is detrimental to his form...a bit like pirlo last season.

Rather we go for Higuain or Cavani than Torres
Torres is way past it and will cost some $
I`m not just saying it based on his Chelsea form as he wasnt at his best at his last year for Liverpool and also became a shadow of himself for Spain.

Guys honestly how could you see Higuain or Cavani here? Torres is the best CF we could get this summer and keep our budget within some limits. Not to mention on form he is better than the rest.

Absolutely NOT!
Higuain,Suarez,Jojo,Lavezzi,Rossi all better options.
And none of them should cost more then 30-35 mil wich we have to spend on WC forward.
we will still have money left for 1 winger and LB.ofcourse using sales money as well(including Melo and Krasic)

Rossi shouldn't be on that list. He is not on the same level as the other players you mentioned; he's clearly one level below, and not WC!

As for Torres, he's a beast (and most definitely better than Rossi) when on form. Sadly, he hasn't been in form for almost 2 years now!
