But he needs to be doing the basic stuff right, otherwise even if I said 'yeah his lack of goals is 100% the teams fault' we'd still be in a positon where as the best club in Italy we're constantly starting a striker who needs his hands held and needs to be spoonfed to contribute anything. That's not right.

Come on, i dont think Llorente has been that bad, tonight yes, but other games, he was not great but not bad either.

The team's overall performance is not helping him either, he doesnt get crosses, always left alone upfront with Tevez dropping deep. He can definitely use a rest, of course i like seeing Morata but Llorente is not to blame, i would actually love to see a 4-3-3 with Tevez Llorente Morata, and getting Coman and Pereyra to come in when required.

Forza Nando!!

I'm not going to judge him till we actually play a half decent attacking game. He just gets nothing right now and is obviously down on confidence.
Seems fair to me. i love nando.

but even when im a llorente fanboy, pirlosbeard has a serious point. He lacks ball control ...extremely. thats not a good sign.

Like I'm saying even if we say that the goals don't matter and we focus purely on his generl play for 90 minutes, it's been terrible. If you can not do the basic stuff right almost all of the time you have no business starting for Juventus. And I don't say that in a way that implies we're some sort of special club, the same goes for any decent team with a fair amount of resources.

If your general play isn't even average, you're out of your depth here.

TUz specialists that don't understand the football are in the building :touched:

Why u don't understand that with his current role it's impossible for him to score many goals? :sergio: Also Lichsteiner and especially Asamoah don't know how to cross properly, what did u expect from him then? He need good crosses, they can't give it to him, he only made 12 shots in 9 games, hit the post 2 times, while tevez has made 25 shots, feel the difference
We all see this, we have decided to move passed it and accept it. We are simply looking into all facets of his game now. Crosses or not, he offers nothing.

He never failed to do basic stuff

Just look where is Llorente and where is Tevez and don't ask me again about his new role

he offers his finishing, was unlucky when he hit the post, what more he could do? Our central mid zone has created 0 chances tonite, Pogba is dead, Vidal is out of form, Marchisio is playing deeply, the only one creative player is Tevez and he is not the fucking robot, he need a rest too

So Llorente playing deeper somehow magically negates his ability to put his foot over a slow moving ball and trap it, or to at least not knock it 15 feet infront of him accidentally?

I don't think you understand that what you're suggesting defies all logic

Well, yeah he is. When you you can't hold onto the ball with a simple first touch...when you can't hold off a defender that is shorter and weighs less...when you can't hit goal from inside the 6 yard box when you are a striker and that's your job...when you can't offer a simple lay off pass to your own teammate...when you can't find your own space or offer an option to your teammates...

Yeah. He failed to do the BASIC stuff.

So Pogba, Vidal and Tevez need a rest. Take them out and we can all sleep better tonight because we have Llorente's finishing?

No, it's you who don't understand the difference between losing the ball in the simple situation and loosing the ball when you have 2 opponents right behind you

Ah we're back to the 'Llorente has 400 men surrounding him at all times' Bunch of shit again

Even if he has somebody behind him, if that's enough to stop him from playing football then wtf is the point in playing him. Giovinco can still control a ball when being harrassed by a much LARGER opponent

Utter bullshit, because of his small body he's falling time after time whenever he is having a contact with his opponent
