Crucial week for the future of Fernando Llorente. While the evidence does point Basque peace with Athletic Bilbao and fans, Juventus throws the bases to take home the "Lion King." According to reports today's edition of Gazzetta dello Sport , the president Josu Urrutia would lower his demands got out of the out clause of € 36 million up to 25-plus bonuses. At the time the offer of Marotta is stopped at 18 and not likely to rise, as well as quotes from Jovetic and Dzeko, who at the moment are not considered credible alternatives in Juve.

€18m + €2m bonuses,€20m in total is the reported figure. So it seems likely we are not going to go beyond that figure..It could work(and possibly be accepted in the end) if no other teams are interested. But you cant be certain.

I think they're just waiting to see if any clubs would come forward and make a bigger bid for him and this is all a part of the process since they would want a deal which would benefit them as well in terms of money. If any other club dont approach Bilbao with a bigger bid,you can safely say they'll accept our offer and he'll be a Juventus player before the window closes.

€25M + bonuses would be a huge fee to pay for him.
I honestly dont see even the likes of City paying that much for someone in the last year of his contract.I can see this transfer saga dragging on till the last days of the window.

-Llorente wont extend his contract.

-Bilbao wont let him go on a free

They are just trying to milk as much money as possible from his sale and you cant blame them.So far only we've come forward ,they're just waiting if they can draw other cash rich clubs to approach them with a bigger offer. If that doesnt happen ,they'll accept our offer.

And that is why he can come here only on the last day of Mercato.

Except that there was concrete interest from other clubs for their signatures whereas there hardly seems to be any for Llorente with only Juve coming forward for him.I know you cant be certain ,but it looks like it especially this late in the window with only 10 days left.

Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet (or has it?):

Meanwhile Llorente, the Spain international forward, looks certain to quit Athletic Bilbao this summer and has received a number of offers from across Europe. However his agent, Carlos Arino Bajo, told the Daily Telegraph yesterday it is “very, very possible” the striker will be on his way to England.
"Tomorrow [Wednesday] Llorente will speak to his destination,” Arino Bajo told Telegraph Sport. “It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League. I don’t know the [choice of] club at the moment but there are two [interested] clubs. One is in London, and one is in Manchester.”
Arino Bajo refused to identify which clubs have made contact with the player. However it is clear there are other interested parties: the agent had previously confirmed to the Italian daily Corriere dello Sport that Juventus were among those to have made a play for Llorente.

Its not as if they're holding out for a 'said figure'..€25m is what they're demanding right now if reports are to be true ,they'll drop it down soon enough when no club is willing to pay that much for him.I think they themselves know that ,but it seems like they're just giving it a try and there's no harm in doing that.A lot of patience is required here.
