Damn, Dzeko's numbers for Wolfsburg are scary good.
Exactly. And that was only 4 seasons.

This Llorente guy has been playing at this club since 2005...what 7 seasons now?

LOL and in 4 season in Germany he scores 66 goals. Llorente is a year older, with 3 more seasons in that number and has only scored 15 more goals than dzeko.

I'd be more than happy with Llorente, don't get me wrong.

But pound for pound, Dzeko is the better striker.

You said it the other day. If you want goals, you go for Dzeko, if you want a player that "fits" better you get Llorente but possibly easily forgoing the goals that dzeko would score as a result.
I'd rather pay 18 million for Llorente, than 30 for Dzeko.

I don't watch Bilbao in La Liga at all, so I've really only seen him in sub roles for Spain a few times, don't even remember seeing him in Europa.

It certainly seems like the forum is excited, hype train in full effect, but I haven't seen anything that's got me amped for this at all. Never impressed me in the matches I've seen.

:boh:

Look at the percentages for goals scored compared to shots on goal. Llorente has a more efficient percentage.

As I said, and will say again, all things being equal I would prefer Dzeko.

But juve can't sit around and wait in the hope that man City will sell him.

And Llorente would be far from a disappointment.
Playing devil's advocate, cause of the above, but I have seen plenty of Dzeko...

Do you not think that this could have something to do with the fact that Dzeko may get himself into more scoring positions? He has more range?

From what I've seen, Dzeko has a MUCH better/heavier shot that is dangerous from farther out... hence the percentages may go down a bit, but the danger level goes up.

What I find funny is that everyone just assumes that Llorente would fail because he's coming from La Liga.

Can someone tell me the last time an EPL player was a resounding success in Serie A?
i think it has to to with him being spanish, not la liga. everyone here faps over higuain for example

Not to mention I never mentioned England, rather Dzeko's stats are from Germany, but OK.
