Interesting comment by his agent, claims Motta wanted him

    ——

The deal, which includes an option to buy, was confirmed by his agent, Oliver Arthur, in what he describes as one of the most challenging transfers he has ever worked on.

The move happened in the final moments of the summer transfer window, with Juventus still needing to offload a player to finalize the deal. Despite the tight timeline, Oliver Arthur confirmed that the move has been completed, highlighting the complexities involved in sealing the deal.

Speaking about the transfer, Oliver Arthur shared his thoughts on the situation, saying, “As at an hour to the end of the window, Juventus still had to sell a player. Thiago Motta (Juventus manager) wanted the boy and he believes he can come back and make a difference. The craziest transfer I’ve done in ages.”

He’s an ok player. Looked lively when i watched him a bit under Jose at Roma.

Very weird career though. Roma in serie A. Cremonese in serie B and Next Gen in serie C.

I don’t think he would’ve accepted a move to serie C unless he had some sort of opportunity/promise he’d be considered by Motta for the first team. If his agent is right about Motta wanting him, this was the only way to get him into the squad since all the non EU spots were already filled. Show out in serie C and then get integrated into the first team.

#Montero in the press conference: "The new purchases will be important for #Juve in the future. #AfenaGyan is an added value, he played at Roma, at Cremonese, we hope he lasts a bit longer in #NextGen . Otherwise, due to the qualities he has, they will bring him up..." @junews24com

The fact that we have players like this happy to play for the Next Gen is a massive advantage for Juve. This guy is trialed in Serie A already and he's ready to play in Serie C just to have a chance with the first team a few times? Massive win for us
