No justification but I think before they both signed it came down to pedigree. Poulson was clearly a known international player made a name at schalke and did very well at sevilla too so it was proven experience vs what could bees. everyone knew what sissoko could do but question of whether he could remained in balance before he arrived. I think sissoko was just glad to leave pool. Melo, one season wonderman, nothing to say there. I guess Sissoko and Melo would feel like sacking their agents. Anyway bottom line its a ridicolously much higher wage when compared to the others.

Well someone should, when you look at his wage in relation to what everyone else earns at the club. The board shouldn't just ignore things like this, when you have a player offering at least 10x more on half the wage that Poulsen of all people gets.

We can't just ignore players getting more than they should because of the question of whether footballers deserve what they get or not. :/

It was a weird period when we signed Poulsen...as our focus had been on Alonso. Who is obviously a very different kind of player, but interestingly, he would have been worth what we are paying Poulsen. In fact, he would have massively enhanced our position...A deep lying playmaker of true class...OR...a solid hatchetman. Its a little similar, but not the same, as the D'agostino chase, which led us to Melo, very swiftly and abruptly. We seem to find a player we need, then suddenly turn away from them, when negogiations seem tricky, and instead, spend the same money, or even more, on someone we can get, with the only requirement been that they play in the same area of the field, not with the same characteristics...at best, Strange, at worst, absolutely clueless transfer decisions.

you know what really funny about this whole transfer, is that people "here" were looking for excuses for that move back then to justify the directors dump moves.

I still remember people were saying that we brought Poulsen instead of alonso so that we can play Giovinco on the left flank (so he won't be bothered with the defence work):shifty: and many absalutely non-sence excuses like that.

That poulsen move was just one in an endless stupid moves that those people had done in the past 3 years....
