Say why, and I'll tell you why you're wrong.
1) Modern day football rely on pace. To compete in the champions league etc we need pace. In the past two years Del Piero was our only "proper" player maker, since ranieri didnt use giovinco, so he needed to start. Now that we have the likes of Diego I would well have him starting as the man behind trez or amauri than del piero.
Every time we play against an English team we get slaughtered, due to pace. We got knocked out against a gerradless liverpool in 2005 and poor arsenal in 2006, not to mention the weakest chelsea in the past 5 years.
2) Del Piero constant first team, would destroy the potential of our youngsters, Giovinco most notably. We can't keep relying on older guard, we need to have a forward player for the future. Giovinco has the potential, he just needs the chance, this will also benefit the italian national team too.
3) Im not saying we should release him or sell him, I just think we need to give the likes of giovinco more of a chance in developing. Otherwise we'll be getting your typical italian "late boomer" and by that time he would have lost his pace
