FIRENZE, 7 luglio 2009 – Il centrocampista brasiliano della Fiorentina, Felipe Melo, è ad un passo dalla Juventus. Dopo il "depistaggio" del d.s. viola Pantaleo Corvino, che stamani alla presentazione del neo acquisto Cesare Natali aveva parlato chiaramente di un interessamento dell' Arsenal, negando la trattativa con i bianconeri, in serata il dirigente gigliato si è incontrato con i responsabili del club juventino per definire il trasferimento del giocatore. Secondo indiscrezioni l'affare avverrebbe sulla base di 20 milioni di euro e l'intero cartellino dell'esterno juventino Marco Marchionni, valutato circa 5 milioni. L' operazione coprirebbe, così, l'intera clausola rescissoria fissata per Melo, pari a 25 milioni. L' ufficialità dovrebbe arrivare domani.

i dont see where you would get that idea. We have just bought in one of the best defensive mids in the league in Melo and a Centerback with loads of experience and class who is familiar with out system in Cannavaro. Not too mention players like Chiellini, Sissoko, Marchisio and Buffon.

Also the fact we appointed one of the best defenders of all time as our head coach makes me think our team will have a pretty good defense as well as a good attack.

I think Melo and Sissoko will provide a greater barrier infront of our defence then even Emerson and Vieira did... if you add Marchisio into the mix then it will be very well protected. Plus we have more depth on the bench than we have had in a very long time.

The situation is definitely not the same...
Paulsen is cheaper than Alonso, while Melo is more expensive than D'Ago.
Last year we dont have enough money. This year we have, and we want to buy someone worth that large amount of money, so we choose Melo.

i was just being sarcastic, as everybody here seemed to be amazed by the signing of d'agostino and other attacking players...

personally i am satisfied if the melo deal is true
