Fiorentina want MArchionni...as to why? I can do no better than guess that their version of our Molinaro, is their current right winger...i.e. a player of the field totally incompetent as a footballer, worthy of not respect, but solely pity.

The thing is, Marchionni is our second most consistently useless player. He played a lot last season and produced fuck-all to justify his position in the squad let alone the first XI. His crossing, finishing and ability to retain possession, were more often than not, appalling...which is why I find it so strange that another team would want him.

Still, if he is off to florence, then I would hope to grab at least 5m from the deal...Now if Melo has a 21m release clause, we could pay 16m for him, maybe lower that figure more by including other players.

I understand the differences between D'ago and Melo. I also agree with everyone who is saying thet OUR PRIORITY IS LEFT BACK, THEN CENTRAL DEFENCE, THEN RIGHT BACk...though, I have some hope and belief that Zebina can, if he remains fit, be a solid force on the right flank for us this season...Still, if our board are determined to sign someone quality for the middle of the park, i would prefer Melo. He is no visionary like D'ago, but his game is more versatile and he has more strength.

Marchisio Melo Sissoko
Diego

would be world class. Not straight away. Claudio is quality already, but he will become better, as there is still potential to be tapped. Momo also, needs to continue improving his distribution, but such is the majesty of his DESTROYER routine, he already ranks as world class...Some games he plays, he is everywhere, and un-passable.

Marchisio can pass, he is also mobile, strong in the challenge and physically able. Momo is a Monster.

so we add in either Melo, a burly but cultured brazilian, or Dago, a lighter weight, considerably more creative sicilian...my blood demands Dago, but my head and heart say Melo, as we would have three brazilians...and for some reason, I always class Zebina as a brazilian...because he reminds me of Socrates from the early Pro Evolution games on the playstation.

Rich club would never buy many of our players that we have acquired over the past few years.

Real is rich, though.
There not rich!. all the money they got to buy all those players are fucking loans from banks.:agree: There probably now the most in depth club in history. screw Real forza juve.:ultra:

nobody knows. on the other hand maybe d'agostino was a smokescreen while our board talked with melo and his agend...
Yes back to the good old days. maybe moggi is behind all this??:shifty:

huh a lot of talk I went to sleep for like 6 hours and I came back there are 6 more pages since my last post.... Anyways, the good thing is Juve is looking for either Melo or Dago who are both excellent players ( compare to last two years, we were looking for players like tiago poulsen and so on) So as long as we end up with either one, we are all going to be satisfied.
Melo and Dago are different players but both of them are in a way special, a little hope for us to win at least a title (not coppa italia!!!) next season. Tactically i'd for Dago but if we get him we should really buy a LB or RB, if we get Melo due to his defensive skills we would give a shot to DC and Moli as LB and Salihamtzic and Zebina in RB. So let's wait and see.

If Moggi is all behind this then we certainly will sign him!

I have just read of the report from La Republicca...but have no idea as to their prestige. Are they generally a fairly accurate news service?

The name La Republicca tells you that it's not a sports newspaper. I don't read Italian newspapers at all unless they're about sports so i have no idea at all how reliable this particular newspaper is, but i don't remember a football transfer news to pop up in a non-sports newspaper and to be proven to be truth.

Everything is so up in the air with this Melo transfer. Not even the papers can get their story right. Just shows even they havent got a clue. Pure spec.

I'm afraid so.. but whether it's a tactic to get D'Ago on the cheap or actually move for Melo, it still feels like a win-win somehow.

From a point of view of only ever consuming the lines of english newspapers, I can confirm its a bit different in the UK. As the broadsheets, the non tabloids, do publish football transfer information, especially if it involves a sizeable sum and is between two widely supported teams. A paper like The Guardian, or The Times, is likely to cover the story of transfers between the top clubs at home and in europe, only if it is true. They are less likely to publish unfounded tripe...I guess I just wondered about the prestige of La Repubblica, whether they were closer, in terms of comparison, to The Sun or The Times...

Agreed on all points.

Was just gonna bring up his Almeria and Racing days. But again(this isn't the first time), whenever you come into a thread before me you say the exact same things that are on my mind. Frankly it's getting a bit annoying :D
Hey, know the feeling my fellow footie freak :D I'm the one usually seeing it afterhand and just  at the end, hehe.

all of us hear about this news , but why juve go to link with these players why juve don't finish to deal with A'gustino , we know A'aguistino like juve so much why don't take a player who like the club, we will see what he will do when he will come
