No, I don't think Conte would be against it either if we end up with him, but getting him wouldn't necessarily mean that he would think he's the best solution either. :)
I just think the "if Conte wants, then I want to" argument is stupid. First of all because Conte isn't 100% spot on all the time, but more importantly because we basically have no idea of how he thinks.
That is why we trust Conte's decisions rather than some random dude or guru on a forum or newspaper who gives his thoughts on every player and transfer. Because Conte brings results.

he's whatever. we spend too much on these kinda players tho. 5 mill for padoin and now 5 for peluso.
Tbh if he's the same quality as Padoin then I'd be happy. Padoin is hated here but so far this season he was more consistent than Isla who cost us 19m if I'm correct. Padoin just 5m. He's good bench player. He's strong, versatile no error prone and never cries that he's benched. What else to expect from a bench player?

People hating on Padoin are just jumping on the bandwagon. They don't have a clue what's going on.

i wouldn't say he's hated here. he's a solid bench option, i agree but we have too many players around the midfield/wingback area. let go of some if you're gonna bring in more. peluso will probably be up against asamoah and while i appreciate that kinda depth, i wonder if the players will get irritated with lack of playing time in the long run.

No, that is why we base our own opinions on watching the players in real life...
I'm quite sure that we all do that.

But Conte is actually paid to do this shit and knows far more than any of us could ever hope when it comes to evaluating players for his own goddamn system and tactics. Hence the whole "If Conte wants him than I trust him" deal.

Or you can judge for yourself and stop underrating what you think. In the end, Conte is the one who's in the best position to know what fits his team, but that doesn't mean what you might think is not valuable or true for instance.

Otherwise, we could just shut down the forum, stopping all debates in the process, because they would be pointless.
