Hopefully both the club and player are realising that the grass isn't greener elsewhere.
I am not saying that Chiesa would save the mercato not saying that he has been great but the way Guintoli handled this is terrible, it shows that he has no plan whatsoever and he is counting on some cash to sponsor Atalanta.

This situation is too stupid to believe. Both parties willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.

You're telling me this guy is out if the project but Weah fits? Mottas system is to isolate the winger on the weak side to create space. We saw it one time vs Brest, it came to Weah with half a field to run and he couldn't supply anything.

You're telling me Fede is watching that at home thinking meh I'd rather go to West Brom for 4m and have 30% possession

And we have no quality up front and choose this time to take the stand and push the player out? Of all the times to do it, nows the one when we have 0 leverage or options for the season.

Scary no doubt if that's what Motta believes , Weah will improve Juve greatly? Appears he has good speed/pace whatever but after that I don't see much. LOL one doesn't have to think about it much that Weah will be isolated a lot on the wing. :sergio:. Possibly Motta it's not being accomplished by your strategy.

It is completely possible Motta does not see Chiesa in his ideal XI, and since he is not a starter, he is too expensive to keep. While Weah is supposed 4th or 5th option.

I doubt very much Motta or any top team coach believe Chiesa is a bad player. But they could think the italian is not as good as Chiesa himself believe he is to earn 5M plus wages.

I said this is another thread last night...

"What a pathetic club, from the top to the fans. There is so little that is likable about this club right now."

This entire situation absolutely applies to that comment.

Yes that's fine. So instead of 5m he gets 6. But we also get to avoid giving viola 40m for nico gonzales

mombly loves to make stuff up which sounds reasonable and is in line with many supporters' wish. it's still made up stuff though.

that said, i don't remember the last time i wanted him to be right despite his ridiculous track record. this is a mess indeed, and while jj made some extremely dumb and questionable decisions and deserves to face the consequences, sticking with chiesa and waiting for his recovery was at least some not corporate-like, accounting driven horror we often made. this time it's the club that would deserve better than losing a key player for either chips or for free.

The more I read this thread the more I dont understand some of you...

You make a big fuss over a very simple situation:

Chiesa wants more money to extend, Juve dont want to pay him more money since they dont believe he has earn it and the coach its not convinced he can work in his system enogh to pay him the money he wants.

THATS IT!!!

Chiesa probably thougth that he would get more offers from EPL clubs and now he finds himself in the "reality" that no clubs are willing to pay him what he demands... reality check!

Now if Chiesa comes and say "Listen, I thought better about the situation and I want to renew accepting a reduction in salary" probably the club and the coach could be convinced to give him the oportunity to "prove himself"... but thats only if he accepts the pay cut... if not... then he must find a team that wants him or stay in the stands for a year.

Its a VERY simple situation, I dont get why some of you dont get it or maybe is that you dont want to understand it.
