You mean he is giving Juve fans a headache. Chiesa should start.
I definitely rate Chiesa higher than Berardi but I think Mancini is correct by picking the later as a starter.
Berardi is actually a very good player and allows Italy to play in a certain way and then when Chiesa comes fresh when the others got tired a bit, he can do some serious damage with his speed.
I agree Chiesa is better but I think Mancini`s take is spot on.

One of the best things about him is he is equally good on both sides. So you can fit him in with any winger and be calm.

Or you know, start your best player and let him do what he does from the start.

This would be like saying let's start Kulusevski instead of Ronaldo. Kulu will tire them out and Ronaldo will take advantage of that as a sub.

It doesn't work that way. You play your best and most consistent players from the start. And Chiesa is by far the best player in Italy when in this kind of form.

Its not the same.. Both players are very good and play the exact same position.
Chiesa starting would mean we would have a better start but then he will not have the effect he can add with his speed vs burn out guys

He did not have the effect last night with his speed, he did it with skill while scoring that goal. In fact towards the end he made some bad decisions on counters and lost a couple balls there. All I could think about is Allegri going mad on the sideline for not valuing the possessions there.

Anyway, this 'effect' is way overrated. We're talking about professional footballers who are all fit and could play for much longer if they had to. It is very rare that this kind of effect happens. Other team can also make subs and nullify that effect. Spinazzola was great early on when Austria defenders were not tired but as game went on they defended much better against him.

I get this kind of thinking with an inconsistent player like Costa was or even Cuadrado sometimes. But Chiesa plays the same way all the time, he is definitely a starter. He had 26 G/A in 39 starts last season.

And also, coming on as a sub gives you a little bit of an advantage physically but also a lot less time and more pressure to make instant impact.

He's a monster. He doesn't have low stamina. Where this "impact sub" came? That's as BS as it can be. If you let CR7 in the bench and throw it in 10 minutes before the end, of course he would be an impact sub, that's a narrative as cheap as socialism

Only direct swap for Mbappe, even then I would think about it…
The problem is PSG that will make the 90m offer, there no FFP they want to go for
Mbappe - Messi - Chiesa with CR7 as their up top in 4231

Of course they can go for Sancho for right wing if Chiesa are nt available. And dont forget Haaland for next season
