No doubt, but the question is whether he is a better partner for Immobile.

It's not just about a better partner for Immobile. Berardi fits the whole team, and Mancini, better.

Stylistically Chiesa and Berardi are opposites which is good because Chiesa can offer a change, but Berardi is certainly a better fit overall.

To only mention "fit" as an edge to Berardi doesn't do him justice though, we prefer Chiesa because he is our player but Berardi is definitely better at the moment, also older, Chiesa will have time to surpass him soon (hopefully). Berardi is Sassuolo's playmaker and still scores 17 goals this season just in Serie A, with a G+A every 100 minutes. For Mancini he has scored or assisted in every match except for one in the last 8 or 10 iirc.

Him vs Chiesa is a perfect situation for Mancini.

starting Berardi and putting on Chiesa to run against tired defenses seems the smart play now, Berardi has been excellent

if you want to start Chiesa, only place i can see him based on recent games is on the left instead of Insigne if he is tired or Mancini wants to mix it up, Berrardi just gives the extra ball playing potential abit further up the pitch atm and its working well
